good info. What about 3rd year switch? 3 years ago I worked up an area to bare dirt and broadcast switch in and dragged. Then I let it fend for itself and saw no results, however last fall I saw switch in the piece fighting to grow. Though its very spotty the various plant size varied from ankle height to 6 foot. So what's the best way to give it a chance, I'm thinking mow then spray gly? S.E. Mn.
If you can burn, burning by far will give it the best chance. If you look up my video "From a Switchgrass Failure to Switchgrass Success" I show how I recovered a stand of switchgrass like the one you described. I'd be fairly confident you can recover it if you're seeing some switchgrass there.
Putting burnt chemicals in the air to rain down on every one down wind in the air stream, I wonder what effects that has on humans, ranch Animals and food supplies , water quality. Pull your head out, every action has a reaction. Glad I’m not your neighbor.
So beautiful!!! Switchgrass is one of my favorite North American grasses. The wildlife loves it!
Agreed! They do love it and I think it's gorgeous esthetically
well done Sam
