Palmer in criminally underrated !!
i honestly do agree with that, he’ll have a big year
Right?!? He balled out for us!!
which Palmer you talking about it isn't Carson is it
The only problem is his health
No he's not.He will be cut this year.Good hands only goes so far in the league nowadays,if you can't separate ,your useless
Offseason as a whole, including new coaching staff, is an A. Record is 11-6, plus finally a playoff win. Superbowl next year!
The WR core is very good. Ladd shows promise as a solid separator and WR, Palmer has a connection with Herbert and learned from Keenan Allen for 3 years, Rice is really good at working with his QB to extend the play, QJ has the coaching needed to succeed, and Cornelius Johnson can be another deep speed threat with DJ Chark on the play action. Lots of compliment aided with the new rejuvenated run game.
That ladd will be rookie of the year!
I like the confidence but to keep it real none of us really knows how the season will play out I'm just having faith in jim to make this team not as bad as staley
Not having a run game for short yardage killed this team far more than losing 2 highly paid receivers. The chargers never could impose their will offensively to set up the passing game. That will change and Herbert has the arm to make any half way competent receiver look like an A+. This offense will be better with the run game minus 2 WRs. You’ll see.
I think everyone is sleeping on 6’8” Donald Parham Jr, who is a stud TE when healthy. Ben Herbert is also a hugely underrated addition to this team and is going to cut down on the injury bug drastically. I can’t wait, BOLT UP ⚡️💯
Nice take on the team Matty. Even if it's the 4th time in a row that I've predicted this. 👍
😂😂😂you’re him
..lol ..right? ..love it bro
11-6 record Ladd rookie of the year
Would be really cool if this team makes playoffs year 1 under Harbaugh.
Imagine AFC championship game in yr 1 like he did w da 49ers
Love the bolts, super excited to see what these new guys can do! I believe Ladd will tear it up for sure. Everyone is way to hype on Rice tho. Im cheering for the kid and hoping he does well. Saying he is going to come in and be a guaranteed starter and a replacement to Williams is crazy out of pocket. There is a reason this kid had like... 9 TD in 3+ years. There is a reason every single nfl team thought he was not worth drafting AT ALL. Glad we picked him up to give him a shot, great kid, great story. A LOT to prove.
Nice job, good video - thanks for this.
Good take! 👏🏿👏🏼👏🏽
Great video!
Every offseason, for 20 years now, the Chargers look their best, on paper, in the offseason..
True but they have never had a coach like they have rt now either
@@jaeslice1012 i think I’ve heard this one before… but let’s hope
Part two ..get er done
Part two
Nice video
Other than Keenan Allen because of the possession catches, I dont feel they lost too much with Mike Williams, he was always hurt. Shouldve kept Hunter Henry, but Inthink he was injured often too, botnsure on that
I am glad I'm not the only one who felt that. Watching tape on the WRs we drafted, they looked like younger versions of Keenan and Mike. Ladd does the route running and drawing attention, Rice goes for the jump ball. I like it. I was apparently one of the few who like the Joe Alt pick from the first few rumors, I honestly didn't expect us to land as great of a set of WRs as we did given the Alt pick, but this draft is so deep and apparently the other teams just had a moment of shared dementia or something to leave either on them on the board that long
Great content , A , 12/5
Draft is A
FA is B+
Overall record 2024 is 12-5
you might be a little generous i say 9-8 and maybe the playoffs
@@tlhamp0 chargers have the easiest schedule in the AFC, how is he being generous? I think Brandon Staley made people forget this is an elite team who just need competent coaching, they literally give the hot bills a run for their money with a backup qb after firing Staley
@@wallygallo1703week 5 bye is tuff and we haven’t even seen what this team looks like under Harbaugh yet.
Super hyped too ngl but prolly a more realistic record is 10-7 ish
@@wallygallo1703 the AFC west is no cake walk okay let say they lose 4 games in their division the Ravens will be lost they split with Bengals and browns and they lose one of the two games against the falcons or bucs and the steelers will beat them so that 8 losses don't worry they might make the playoffs with 8 losses but get bounce in the first round
@@tlhamp0 they lost 7 games last year by 3 points which were lost because of coaching not cuz of the team, Harbaugh would have won those, that would have put them at 12-5 last year. Not to mention Herbert is 21-4 in his career when his team allows less then 27 points, I think I saw somewhere 21-2 if you don’t include his first two nfl starts as a rookie. That a 91% win percentage if you give him an average defense. Not elite, just average, only Mahomes is close to that with 89% win percentage when his team allows less then 27 points. Like I said, i truly believe you’re being generous to Staley bro haha, I know people always say good stuff about chargers and then the season starts and they’re bad but that’s literally because the roster is great, coaching was atrocious and that truly the definition of being generous. If you gave Herbert a decent staff he would go off, but you pair him with Harbaugh who came back into the nfl with literally the best win percentage of any coach, and he did it with Alex Smith and Kapernick bro, this is Herbert we’re talking about. And you also give him better protection and a run game???? 12-5 is not generous, it’s expected in my opinion
Losing KA & MW were tough for the fans, but that was the plan to deal with the cap all along.
We are witnessing the beginnings of a new power elite team for yrs. We will compete I say we play in divisional playoffs..10-7 Go Bolts!
Competition at wr.
Competition at running back.
Better line
Draft A /FA B record 11-6 with a deep run in playoffs
Really psyched for the Front Office, Coaches, and Players - go ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
B+ Draft Grade. 9-8 Wilcard Playoffs
Appreciate the video and education but you should run the clips one more time in real time after you finish breaking them down. That way we can see what it looks like at full speed with the parts put back together. You do a great job of detailing how Ladd destroys the DB but then I want to watch it once more at full speed to see what I just learned. It's all love though. I appreciate you putting the content out. Chargers draft A-. FA B (A+ if coaching hires are included) Record 10-7.
The offense last year revolved around Keenan Allen since he was so good at being open in any given scenario. He was the mismatch piece that was moved around and usually the primary read for the play. And then the offense would play off of how the defense decided to game plan against Keenan. This had its pros and cons.
This year the primary option will be to create a mismatch in the run game and then build off of that instead.
With Harbaugh it’s def possible they make playoffs
Draft:A-
FA:B
Team Roster:B+
Record:11-6
16-2 record and a chance of the sb
Brenden Rice does not do a great job of setting up the CB. You showed a few where the CB did a bad job, more-so then he did good. He rounds off his routes and when running up the field tends to drift towards the sidelines.
Let’s go!⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
I would say they’re at a B as far as the offseason goes. I was really impressed with the draft, and I didn’t really understand some of the signings in the off season honestly. Still, very excited for what’s to come!!
I do like these recievers alot exellent choices out of curiousity how come you didnt mention Cornelius Johnson from michigan who harbaugh just won a bowl with cause i believe he is quite similar to rice it would have been an interesting comparison plus you made exellent points and showed great film with great explinations i would have really liked to see something on him cause i dont see much sadly
I cannot wait to see this offense on the field to see how they do. I also can’t wait to see the defense on the field.
Offensive line and defensive line. That is what will drive the team success this year.
Give them an A grade for the offseason, starting with the hiring of Harbaugh. 11-6 is their record.
Losing Mike WIlliams was NOT a "Very hard thing to do" since he was injured every time, he stepped on a blade of grass that wasn't cut as short as all the others. Paying that much for Chandeliers. Allen is near the end of his career and has def. began to lose a step, he's also developed "the drops" (one on the 1-yard line in one game and another in the endzone in another). Sure, he had years of and could still make most catches but drops and injuries were starting to become a norm with Allen too.
Those that think letting them go have not been paying attention. More-so with Williams).
Ekler was what used to be known as a "3rd down back" and was never truly a RB. Between the tackles he really was no threat, and no D took him serious at that and only worried about him as a "Safety valve" for the QB. Most teams used to have a back that was small, quick and could catch and they came in on third downs (yes, they played other downs too, but you could count on them being out there on 3rd) to help get the first, but they usually couldn't withstand the pounding of "3 yards and a cloud of dust" style football. So Ekler was a 3rd down back used on all downs since the Charges had no OL or true RB since LT.
I pick 11 wins and an A+ off season. No way you get a bad grade when you pick up coaches Harbaugh, Minter and (one of the best moves in my opinion) Strength and conditioning coach Herbert (the coach, not the QB, not related AFAIK), then a generational OT who has been said to be the best conditioned OT in the combine since 1987 (yes, beating Peni Sewell). Sure, OT isn't as flashy, and they won't ever put-up stats like Yards or TDs or INTS but are the second highest paid player on the field for a reason. Most teams are lucky to find even one good OT, the Chargers have two of the best and one of the best in almost 40 years.
Many people criticize not going WR with #5 but look at the WRs still available later in Rounds 2, 3, 4... (and 7 even), whereas OT, the first few were gone in round one and all others are projects.
10-11 wins. Playoffs.
Next season Super Bowl. Herbert is HIM. Watch him cook with a good coaching staff. Keenan is old. Mike absolutely never plays. Ekeler fell off horribly. Chargers are now younger and faster……….
B+ bro…. 11-6!!
Only problem with the receiver room will be tough to grab anyone on your fantasy team do to no clear number one. I don’t think Roman and Tressman want that they want a random receiver look to catch defense running to spots and the room will tear them up by putting all the talent in the room in a winning scenario for their individual talents. I think there will be multiple over 500yd receivers, and no 1000yds. Herbert will still get his, I’m anticipating 4200-4500 yd year and an outside chance at MVP.
A plus with draft and especially UDFA set up for the future for sure our practice squad will be getting cherry picked no question in my mind about that
that is the most scottish irish name i've ever heard
11-6
Draft = A, free agency = C
overall 2024 record 10-7
Overall record will be 12-5
@@beezyru6055 that would be awesome. 12-5 and we're in the playoffs!
i think right now they finish 9-8 if they add some weapons but if they don't then 7-10 they have no play makers at wide receivers just a lot of young guys but they have cap space to add them though
@@tlhamp0idk Brenden rice will easily prove everybody wrong
@@StrikerBagg-sz6vc maybe in a couple years but not this year the chargers need some veterans receivers fortunately for them they have 20 million to sign a couple
B+. No A grade because they didn’t get an established outside corner.
Record 10-7.

His name is Brenden foo
12-5
B and 11-6
A+ 11-6
At this point the entire Chargers organization from the owner to the most recently hired janitor should be in prison for all the Highway Robbery they committed this off-season
They should of definitely kept eckler instead of the two they got eckler did everything and they would have a nice pass rb. Where as the two new ones don't catch and the one will be hurt after one game they never get catching te.s,I rather have the one they got rid of them the junk they got poor Herbert ,never had a real home game in the Rams stadium and who do they really have to catch every yr. I beg them to grab catching te.s a very easy fix there the best in.the RedZone poor Herbert free him,
10-7
A
offseason A++++ COMP PICKS GALORE COMING, TOP 5 O-Line, COACHING went from checkers to CHESS! 6 deep in D line starters, 7 deep on the o-line, 3 at RB, and Ladd and chark will make this offense finally back defenses off the line of scrimmage while we maul people offensively… ON DEFENSE: 3rd 4th, both 5th rounders all defense and MINTER will generate a swarm mentality and create pressure non-stop with just 4 given the complexities of his diguises. ALT is a hige addition. Crosby isnt going to hit herbert in 2 seconds anymore AT ALL. We will go 12-5, 5th seed, win in the NFC east wildcard 4 seed then lose to the chiefs who go 13-4. 2025: corner, center, a true X, and a 1st round D-tackle will result in a complete team with 30-40M in cap left to pick up a true all-pro mid season and we maske the afc champ game and win the afc west and lock up the 1 seed. The super bowl window starts in 2025 and is achieved at least once between 2025-2027 as we acquire edger guys in the 2026 and 2027 draft in the first rounds. 2025 record: 14-3, smack jacksonville in the divisional, win a hard nosed fight vs either houston or BAL in the AFC champ game and play Green Bay in the super bowl and appear in 2025 and 2027 and win one or both. Also not ruling out a 2024 run due to coasching and frerocity with a true team identity that unleashes herbert as a more accurate lamar who runs less and throws 23-30 times a game as needed but for 300-400 a game while we avg 155 on the ground per game led by vidal by 2025.
Slept on? Everyone expects them to win super bowl with Harbaugh
Nah we still get told we ain’t shit
B+ draft grade, 9-8 this season
Go away ! 11-6 at the very least
@@giamarshall6323 I love the optimism ⚡⚡
Im driving to vegas to put money on the chargers winning the division. Gotta at least profit off the mahomes fanboys who don't understand winning football.
It’s comes down to the offense line, if you have a great line anyone can be good running back & score a lot of points, the only reason KC is winning so much is the offense line is never called on holding, if Chargers pay off the refs or Roger orders refs to look the other way for Chargers like KC, the Chargers will win the Superbowl, but NFL is scripted & the script is written Mahomes will match or beat out Brady
Rooting for Brendon Rice, but he is not a "beast" or a great route runner.
yeah im rooting for the kid also, but the Hype for him is insane. One thing i can say, is fucking Caleb Williams was ALWAYS underthrowing this kid. Watch his highlight reel and tell me how many times CW under threw him by 3-5 yards! He would of had much better numbers if he got the ball in stride. Will be a fight to make a spot on the roster tho, not some guaranteed "mike williams replacement" by any means.
Rice ran faster than williams did.
You pause your videos too much.
Off-season grade D, record prediction 6-7 wins.
The insane amount of hopium it takes to think two rookies will replace Allen and Mdub is insane. Ladd and Rice haven’t played a down in the NFL, we HOPE they are a fraction of what Allen and Dub brought to this team. This team is worse without Allen and Dub and anyone who thinks two rookies will replace them is high on the offseason hype.
This offense will be worse this season. There is no way the great Gus Edwards who never went over 1k yards from scrimmage in his career will replace what Ekeler brought.
I think fans are in full offseason fantasy mode if they think this is anything but a rebuilding year for the chargers. Sure hopefully we catch lightning in a bottle but the reality is this team will take 2-3 years to get to where it’s a real contender. Maybe after next years FA haul and some luck on this years rookies do the chargers compete with the best teams in the league. But more than likely it’s going to be 3 years out.
Sorry to bring reality to your hopium party but slogans and quirkiness don’t win NFL games, talent does.
Whooooos got it better than us?
Money. Can't pay all those names you mentioned. Good thing you don't run a football team. You want to win a super bowl or just be kinda good? Gotta change sometime. Can't keep expensive or aging people
Homie I watched Herbert take the Chargers to the playoffs while Kennan and Mike both sat half the season. This team has competed with incredible teams while both were injured b4 with 0 running game.
Ekeler is criminally overrated from his fantasy stats so yes JK and Edwards will probably easily replace his running production. Really not that much of a stretch.
If the defense plays much better than last year this team has a good chance and I think going from 23rd to maybe 13th is very possible under Harbaugh
@@RatigansIsland lol, the cognitive dissonance from you is amusing. Allen got cut after we were under the cap and there was a decision between Bosa/Mack and Williams. Don’t pretend that money was the only reason they got rid of Allen. Harbaugh who negotiated hard for his 10+ million dollar a year contract, which he earned, asked Allen coming off a career year by any standard to take a pay cut is hypocritical and unnecessary.
Harbaugh schtick works great on college kids but for professionals it gets old quick, see his quick exit from the Niners. 3-4 years he quits and goes back to college after wasting Herbert’s Prime as hardly the first college coach to fail in the NFL.
Whooooos got it better than us!
@@arose112i respect ur not overhyping a young Chargers team that really needs work but ur wrong abt a lot of shi lmao 😂
Ekeler isn’t that good, Harbaughs pay has nothing to do with team cap space, and this team still lost plenty with Kennan and Mike on the field so 🤷♂️
Exactly 2-3 years. So who needs to pay or keep these guys that won't even be there. Move on and build something
63 - 21. 😅
LIT
So, radius still haven't done anything for 22 years.
We been saying this but thank the Raiders fr, like genuinely every Chargers fan wanted that to happen. Really don’t believe Spanos spends all this money on front office without that embarrassing game.
Wonder if you realize your GM was part of that bruh?
2nd most losses out of 32 teams in the past 20 years and no playoff wins since 2002
Did they change the NFL pants, or am I just noticing things I've never noticed before? They look like diapers.
Looks like they training in regular uniforms.
Brenden Rice in #82 is disgusting 🤢🤮
