Great video mate , New subscriber here. Just ordered a Polish bread bag yesterday. The best firestarter I have found so far is a small jar of sawdust saturated with kerosene. It will not drip or spill and just half a teaspoon of the stuff will catch a spark right first time. It will burn long enough to give you ample time to add twigs. Candle wax produces an enormous amount of soot which seem to go on everything.
Nice video. I made the same firelighters - they will light from a spark, but it is easier if you tear them in half and the sparks land on the fluffy torn edges
Good video I like the Polish Bread bag and your Kuksa. Just a FYI. I too drink a lot of tea when out and about. I don't throw the used tea bags out, I stock pile them until its time to clean up camp and pack to go home. What I do is take a little water put it in a cup throw in the used tea bags, let them soak and use them as a scouring pad to clean my pots and such, for me, it works good.
Thanks Daniel for taking the time to comment. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. ☺️ good tip with the tea bags, but unfortunately I don’t drink tea, I’m strictly a coffee dude. Although sometimes I do use coffee bags so I’m guessing the same principle would apply 😃👍
Thanks for the shout buddy, glad you are liking the pouch. My newest kit purchases are the Kupilka stuff as you know 😉 I have bought the cutlery set and not that keen on them. The spoons are ok but the knife and fork are a bit flimsy. Great vid mate. Atb, Dave (David) 🤣👍🏽
Your wax tinder didn't light because wax can't be lit with wax and you coated the whole piece inside and out with it. It's great once you get a fire going but it won't take a spark. If you want to use it to catch a spark you need to leave a portion of it unwaxed that you can shred or scrape to light.
Great video love all your new gear. I found with the magic biscuits if you break in half a spark will light first time. Plus are water proof. My last purchase was a fjaraven stubben. J J bush craft and Chris mcm. Channel both great reviews. Love the pack. Would love to see a tarp bivi video. I am waiting on a alpkit elan. 😊👍🏻👍🏻
