In case you missed it, here is the first video where I show how to do a pickup swap on an HSH Ibanez guitar (or similar) ua-cam.com/video/9n3s9WMLbwI/v-deo.html
This is fantastic. I'll definitely do this to my Jem Jr once the new pickups arrive. Also I'd like to add a tone bleed circuit and resistor in parallel for the single coils
Thanks so much for the video! I'm replacing my pickups with some SD humbuckers that have 4 conductors instead of 3. How would that change the connection of the pickups to the 5 way switch in this setup? My guess would be that you connect both the splits together? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again
I just installed the mini volume and tone 500 A pots. They are awesome and robust and they make for a tone of room under my pickguard for my wire harness. Honestly i am never going back to installing large pots!
Friend, I really liked your sound, and I have a very similar Ibañez guitar, would you have the diagram for Seymor Duncan? thank you very much in advance
Great to find your video as I’m putting in a very similar wiring in my RG after putting in new pickups. The Fender 5-way switch will not lock in positions 1 and 5 as the slot is not long enough for the toggle and the toggle stops short due to the body. Did you have a similar problem?
Can i do so the push pull switch does the split coiling instead, and the lever does the neck pickup always on? By swapping the wires right. So lever switch goes from 5-way switch neck and from the input at volume pot. And the tone knob has those on the right side of the 5-way switch.
on my second attemp with this . im using the quantum pickups. i get the template part done perfect with everything checking good with the multimeter. then when i hook up the pickups. something is wrong. The coil split switch makes them sound thin. the tone knob not working for neck pickup. and i get single coil buzz even in humbucker mode.....

OMG…that would make me pull my hair out…I can’t even solder an output jack…great work my man😎
Lol It certainly requires some previous soldering experience but isn't as hard as it looks. Thanks and glad you liked it!!!
Wow a fully professional job explained at the detail, thanks a lot for this!!! 🙌
Thanks, glad you liked it!!!
I’m gonna give this wiring one more shot! Thank you

Sure! No problem, just wire the push pull as the switch and vice-versa

gran trabajo!😊😊
Gracias! 😊
How do I get all those tools used in the video? Please let me know. Thank you.
I'll put some links in the description soon
Se podrá con 2 Push pull??

genial!!!!
gracias!
