Takayama looks absolutely breathtaking in 4K! 🏔✨ It's amazing to see you engaging with the locals and speaking Japanese-it adds such a personal and heartwarming touch. 🇯🇵💬 Can't wait to visit this charming town someday! 🌸❤ Fyi.
You and me both mr. Bubble😂 Sorry for the delay! Since this is highlighting so many local businesses I had to wait for the state of emergency to end and make sure they were open 💪💪
I’ve such good memories of Takayama. The festival hall, walking the streets, making my own sarubobo, the morning markets, talking to a lovely lady in a fruit and veggie shop (who put up with my slow Japanese), and it was my first experience of actual snow fall. I’d really love to spend more time there. Thankyou for this video of a very special place.
I feel like you have a unique way of getting all these people to open up and welcome you warmly (maybe that's just how most Japanese are?). They look genuinely happy to share their crafts with you. You're doing such amazing work! Cannot wait to experience all these places myself, hope you're well :)
Omg I’m learning Japanese I’m only n5 level but I understand a lot of what was being said I feel like a achieve something every time I hear a word and I process it in my head and actually know what it means if even learned how to form simple sentences and know a lot of particles I’ve been stressing that I wasn’t learning enough Japanese but this proves that I’m doing far better than I thought.
I miss being able to visit Takayama. Thank you for making this video. Thank you for shining a light on the effort it takes to hand paint and metal work with such detail. I must admit it’s a little sad seeing the streets so empty knowing how full they usually are this time of year. Loved seeing the downtown morning market! I didn’t know it exists. I usually visit the river market with a must visit to the ice cream shop. I digress lol. Again, thank you for your efforts.
Amazing editing, beautiful shots, and lovely transition as always! I was also in Takayama in August. Went to the Sakura Hachimangu shrine as well. Thank you for sharing and taking us along on your trip!
I did a trip and followed a personal theme once. And it did open up a new way to how I experienced Tokyo. Thank you for all the hard work on this! So excited for the next one!
I love the whole vibe of the beginning. It made me think of kimi no nawa for some reason. You’re just so talented in every aspect!!!!!!! ❤️ you!!!! Ok now off to watch the rest of the video~
Hida-Furukawa train station, just up the road from Takayama proper, was in Your Name, as well as several locations that were featured in Taki's search for Mitsuha and Itomori. Thank you so much for this video (as well as your others). I'm from Denver, Colorado and Takayama is one of our Sister Cities.
What a visual and cultural feast, thank you. This is apropos of nothing but your way of bowing seems so ladylike and polite. It's like you want to give the person a hug but you daren't.
14:00 I remember being a part of this poll. It was weird because when I saw those masks earlier in the video I swore I had seen them before but couldn't figure out how since I knew I hadn't seen this video yet. Slowly I started to remember your first video here and then how I initially saw those masks. Oh man. The obaa-chans in the market! My heart can't take the sweetness! 19:40 I heartily laughed when he said "this is the 'konnichiwa' string". XD
Loving it!👏 Another destination to add to my places to visit once things open up. Your editing and storytelling is getting better and better every time Kemushi-chan.🤩 The emergence of the "metal origami" art form is super cool. What was the food that was grilling next to the tofu. It kind of look like sliced grilled onions? Or maybe shredded cabbage?
ヴィデオをありがとう!とても素晴らしい。 🤩 日本語でお話しいただきありがと。練習に役立ちなんだ。 I felt like I could actually taste the food when you offered 😆 And it makes sense- it did look as if it would taste like a supreme pizza 😂 I look forward to continue watching your travels 🥰
@@blue_catepillar there's actually a lot of food like this, "dekopon" is another example, the fruit is just the same and very similar to and orange, but to sell the actually 'dekopon" brand name you have to go through a special guild process to get the rights to sell at a higher price. The farming industry has a lot of unions and guilds and doing stuff like this helps protect pricing and competition. At least, that's what I've been told haha.
everything is so rich in history and culture. even their jobs. i felt so much pride in what they do while watching this. the metal crafts they were making reminded me of an ironsmith crafting a sword or something. the puppets were cool too but it caught me off guard that something small like that would need 6 people to make it move...and i want to make a 5 nights at freddy's joke but i won't. lol
Takayam is indeed one of the best places to go, and npt just for their traditional thatched roof village. When she was listing festivals, I was crossing my fingers for Inuyama. 残念。
Hehe thanks for noticing! That was essentially a cookie cutter (picture in picture tool) bottom layer is the frame before I walk in (empty background) and the top layer is the live video of me walking in.
I want to travel alone in Japan and go to small city's but I'm afraid of chikan. ¿Have you ever felt unsafe in Japan? Please give some recommendations to a woman traveling alone.
Hi, I would like to know if there’s a way I could personally reach out to you because I need major help and I’m in a tight spot concerning graduate Japanese universities
I am experiencing the same thing! :P My study abroad university just announced that next semester is cancelled- again. If you are looking for schools and programs that MIGHT be open beginning April, this is what I got by searching and from my advisor: Hokkaido University (requires N3 equivalent) Hokkaido University of Education Tohoku University Wadseda University USAC also has a program in Nishinomiya, which is between Osaka and Kyoto. Most of these requires an application submitted between October and November. I’m currently looking for other options because I can only leave from January until mid May. 頑張ってください!

The painting technique with the starch is a lot like batik. Very cool, and I am so jealous of your new mask! :-)
Production quality is through the roof!!! Wow, I'm impressed, thanks for your content! Nice background music and editing!

Why did I definitely open my mouth and go "ahhhhhh" for that rice at 21:40?? 😂😂
Sorry to tease 😂❤️

would like to go to Japan. My dream
Is this where they call "Little Kyoto"??
I would have liked to have seen more video footage of the city.
Watch my last video in Takayama!

Honestly for travel, especially small city areas, you can assume you're safe. In big cities, get home before the last trains.
@@kemushichan thank you for answering :) I saw a very cool night train with a private cabine to sleep, but I'm not sure about what is safe or not.
Hi dear how are u? ❤☺
Pretty awesome. Thanks for watching!!!
