That cat is excellent as supplemental heat for sleeping. I say this because my min pin loves sleeping in my bed roll with me and lets my sleep system go 15 degrees or so colder than it’s rated for.
I don't see anyone that deeply involved with Bushcraft and development of knowledge and practical information + products. Every statement has a reason or fact to back it up. Great Teacher through Video, I hope to witness personally. This takes passion, time and effort that Dave puts in day in and out... He is on the mission and I have deep respect for it Just amount of options with this setup, you can see that everything was tough through, even tho it is still in TESTING PHASE
Your entire system is getting more and more useful. I would have needed to watch this presentation to properly appreciate the latest upgrades and how to use them.
I spent 10 years in the ARMY as a paratrooper. I have a very strong attachment to the woobie, and still to this day have not only my original issued woobie from 1985, but have bought another one since, because the original was getting a bit thin. I wish the issued one I have used for the last almost 40 years had that hole in the center so I could have actually used it to line my poncho when marching, or standing perimeter guard. several of the upgrades to the woobie in this are outstanding, but that, more than anything else really turns my head. I have a few pieces of Pathfinder gear, and have never been disappointed. I think you are offering this at a fair price for the value. it generally takes me a few months to save for any purchase in this price range, ( VA pensions suck) but this is 100% going to go on my list. the bed roll sleeve reminds me of how we used to roll our sleeping bag, and woobie in the two shelter halves, with the guy lines, and put the stakes and poles inside the roll with extra socks, and balaclava for sleep and hang it under our rucks. I am thinking that between this quilt, and the bed roll might wind up being the whole of my 2024 purchase list for me. those straps would work well, so that the rolled kit could be slung over the back of my power chair, so I could carry my sleep system out to the redwoods with me. I am hoping to get out in the woods at least a couple times this summer with my son for fun, and to make a couple videos for our youtube channel
Very functional in many ways, but you wouldn't know all of the intricacies of the thought process if Dave didnt explain the ingenuity that went into this and his other products. Taking the best thats out there and making it better.
Dave: I just placed an order for this item and a book. Just wanted you to know, THE CAT GETS THE COMMISSION!😸 Nice kitty, who clearly loves his people. You must be a decent guy! Thanks!
I got mine in the mail before work today. Looks hefty, packs fairly small for how 'dense' it feels. I bought this asap because i love, and i mean love, the onewind version. the fact this is just like it but for slightly colder weather is perfect. I even use the onewind top quilt for my main bed blanket at home. I love the draw string foot box, its only down side is it can be too hot. This forester's quilt will never replace my onewind but its got an equal spot on the camping roster. The other benefit imo for the onewind is the eco fill it uses. I appreciate that it's not a plastic fill, tho i am torn because i think dupont makes that eco fill and i hate being 'forced' to support anything dupont does because, even positive stuff like their eco fill, inadvertently funds the evil they do
When I heard 32 degrees my ears perked up I can’t lie. I carry a polish lavu half and a wool blanket used in similar fashion wrapped around my knapsack, but your poncho and liner definitely have that system beat.
I love how you back your own gear and use it and prove it's durability and versatility, you don't just talk a big game and that's awesome! I'm definitely going to pick this up when they come back in!
This is an outstanding piece of gear. It has found a permanent home in my pack. Thanks, Dave, for continuing to release gear for the outdoors that is made with multiple uses in mind.
Been a fan since the dual survival days. Great to see you still at it, and still with the pathfinder school getting out there and sharing wisdom with us. Ill never forget that youre the man who cut himself open so he could show how to seal a wound... with gunpowder! Absolutely badass man. All the best to you and yours Dave.
I bought this quilt as it is just what I have been looking for. It arrived and is thicker than I expected and I really like it. I havent had a chance to test its warmth (summer in the South) but so far it is exactly what I hoped for.
Don't be surprised if I'm your first buyer dave, you've read my mind, I've been meaning to get a poncho and a under quilt and you read my mind and made it a 2 in 1
Zaan was the real star of this video. I laughed so hard... please give Zaan some steak for me Dave, he's an awesome addition to the show and your reactions to him were so genuine and sweet. BTW, I'll be buying one of the Forester Quilts as soon as they come back in stock!
The most honest gear and designer ever. That’s why I’ve always come back to these products. I actually use my gear, and I’m far from delicate. Keeps on working! Thank you Dave
I just ordered mine about 20 minutes ago. Pathfinder gear is great. I make an open faced fried egg sandwich this am with their 8 inch skillet with broiler rack.
Always innovating! That is very interesting piece of gear! If you allow me to suggest, a 1 inch gap half way on the channel, would expose the shock cord in the middle, which would give you really good adjustment on the underquilt mode. I did it with a woobie blanket, works great cause you can adjust it while laying on the hammock. You could use toggles, I use just and overhand knot, then I made a "paracord toggle" knot to hold the shock cord as you set it.
Pretty cool. I've never seen the forked branch method of raising a bed before, so that was great. I have used many methods of wrapping materials around ropes/sticks to make a bed, so that's not new, but using the twig is. Very cool. Thanks again for the great content 👌 👍
That's cool! Once gear I have wears out, I'll look to this. The toggles on my Swagman rolls hardly get used... Maybe when ranger roll style sleeping only. When wearing, I pefer the insulation in standalone match coat style with poncho unattached over the top.
I was stunned when you said the price...that's nuts to have something of such utility so cheap! My Pathfinder titanium stakes came in the mail today, clearance price, insane! You all are killing it, keep 'em coming!
For as many uses as this has built in, I can only imagine the price tag, I'm not big into brand name gear. I like the cheap Walmart stuff. But this seems like something that would be worth investing in. I'm surprised these kind of multi tools aren't more mainstream
That's great, Dave! the quilt should also work good as a sleeping bag liner and add to the temp rating and maybe being able to bring a lighter sleeping bag. Having your cat sleep with you, keeps you warmer too! 😁😺👍👍
Another well thought out product from Dave and SRO/Pathfinder School. But, I already own two Swagman rolls and several versions of Woobies. But, I don't have a Pathfinder Forester Quilt and I really like the design. Thanks for the video and for sharing another quality product with us Dave.
This looks like a great piece of kit, Dave! I have an Ecotat poncho and matching sleeping bag and love them! Since your new quilt is similar to the Ecotat, I'm sure it's going to be great! I'm going to order one.
I've been wanting something like that. I'm in the Mid-South, so it doesn't get real cold. That would be perfect. Glad I brought you along. Great video and I'll be visiting the SRO website.
Hey Dave... I wonder if you had considered doing a series or an episode on woodsmen entering the geriatric stage of life as I am.. I just turned 59 and as with all things in life.. We age and break down... Or like myself.. I am a person with some disabilities like being blind in one eye and profoundly hearing impaired... And yet.. I still became an accomplished musician.. And I'm an avid outdoorsman, I love hiking and camping and practicing the basic skills that I have when opportunities present itself... I think this would be a great prepper for us older folks. yes there are the basic things like getting excercise and keeping yourself relatively healthy.. But I think with the wealth of knowledge that you have. I think you could present something that makes sense and is accessible for folks like myself.. You do a great job.. I enjoy the products that I have been able to purchase thus far.. And look forward to acquiring more as funds become available.. Living on a disability income isnt easy.. But I can't complain.. Life is pretty good.. Keep up the great work!!!..
I have a jacks R better mt. Washington 4 quilt that is probably 15 years old. They made high quality products. With that said its backpacking gear and if mis treated it will not survive. I really like the versatility i wouldnt dare put my jacks on the ground..
Been wanting something like this for a while but the temp rating was never quite there considering I'm dealing with MN weather. I will definitely be trying to get one tomorrow 👌
At that price I’m definitely getting one! I’m not sure I can afford not to I haven’t had an under quilt for my hammock and I really need a good excuse to get that oilskin poncho. What a cool piece of kit! Man I wonder how warm you could get that thing with down.
The M81 Pack will be here end of 2q and more Bedsleeves soon as well! thank you. Please like and Subscribe
Dave Canterbury made, Cat approved. It's clearly a superior product.
You can see how enthusiastic he is about developing and bringing us the best gear. No doubt this will be quality, hoping to snag one tomorrow!
Dave, that cat loves you.
Cat likes it. I'm sold.
That cat is excellent as supplemental heat for sleeping. I say this because my min pin loves sleeping in my bed roll with me and lets my sleep system go 15 degrees or so colder than it’s rated for.

Just amount of options with this setup, you can see that everything was tough through, even tho it is still in TESTING PHASE
Thank you so much for saying that
Clearly a well thought out and practical piece of kit! The price is outstanding! But Cat Canterbury stole the show again

Dave, this looks great! And Zahn's seal of approval clinches the deal! I love Zahn, and he clearly adores you!
Very functional in many ways, but you wouldn't know all of the intricacies of the thought process if Dave didnt explain the ingenuity that went into this and his other products. Taking the best thats out there and making it better.
Beautiful cat mate, love how they always wanna be involved especially with anything cosy 😄
Another excellent product Dave, I'm counting down the minutes to place my order. BTW, Zahn makes your videos even better. Thanks for sharing brother 👍
Dave, this is awesome. Nice design!
Dave: I just placed an order for this item and a book. Just wanted you to know, THE CAT GETS THE COMMISSION!😸 Nice kitty, who clearly loves his people. You must be a decent guy! Thanks!
😂
This quilt looks like it will be a versatile and effective piece of gear for camping. As usual, Dave and his team are knocking it out of the park.
I got mine in the mail before work today. Looks hefty, packs fairly small for how 'dense' it feels. Cool design. My cat does that too she'll get in and sleep in my hammock even if I'm not in it.
Dave this is one of my all time favorite videos…great product and really like your assistant. Awesome cat!!! Well done sir!!
That is well designed piece of kit! At $64.99, it's a steal. Well done, Dave. It'll replace my Swagman Roll as the primary survival kit.
When I heard 32 degrees my ears perked up I can’t lie. I carry a polish lavu half and a wool blanket used in similar fashion wrapped around my knapsack, but your poncho and liner definitely have that system beat.

Love your cat
He obviously loves you
IS VERY INTERISTING THE WAY YOU SEE THINGS TOO THE NEXT LEVEL... THE WAY,HOW, AND ALTERNATIBLES...TO USED NATURE, TOOLS, TO SURVIVAL. THAKS ...
Very cool! I like to see a 3 day load out with the pathfinder pack. Just to give an idea of how much it can pack.
Yet again, he comes out with better quality gear, for less money. Heck ya brother.
Thanks David for sharing . Your new quilt design . When you're camping . You want to keep warm . The Lord Bless . You And Family .😊
Thank you as always for the quality products for the common man.
I bought this quilt as it is just what I have been looking for. It arrived and is thicker than I expected and I really like it. I havent had a chance to test its warmth (summer in the South) but so far it is exactly what I hoped for.
Dave canterbury,... the king of functional equipment !
The cat is a damn good salesperson. Great video. Gotta get me this quilt (when it's back in stock).
Thanks Dave for making it quality and affordable.
Brilliant! The cat was epic too🏆
Love your cat! We need more of him.
Looks like a solid piece of gear! Pathfinder strikes again! 👍
That's one heck of a product demo man. Thanks for all the knowledge and gear.
Don't be surprised if I'm your first buyer dave, you've read my mind, I've been meaning to get a poncho and a under quilt and you read my mind and made it a 2 in 1

I love all of your products Dave. Great work!!!!
I just ordered mine about 20 minutes ago. Pathfinder gear is great. I make an open faced fried egg sandwich this am with their 8 inch skillet with broiler rack.
My Onewind overquilt has similar feature, but yours answers some of the things Onewind missed. Great job! The price is outstanding

Dave designed, Dave approved! Money in the bank for an inexpensive, multifunctional piece of kit!

Very nice setup Dave.
Daves awsome, I like how hes still a common man.
Looks like a great and versatile piece of kit! Thank you!👏
I was stunned when you said the price...that's nuts to have something of such utility so cheap! My Pathfinder titanium stakes came in the mail today, clearance price, insane! You all are killing it, keep 'em coming!
Brilliant Dave. Cheers
Looks like a very comfy well made system.
Thank God for Dave!
Thank you !!! Very cool. I will have to get me 2 or 3 for my use. Thank you for another piece of GREAT gear!
Oh man... I purchased a Swagman roll like two weeks ago. I should have waited!
Great looking and versatile piece of gear. Congratulations! Well done.
I already own a swagman roll and a military woobie, and now I also own the Foresters quilt! It gets plenty cold out here in the northeast!
Thank you
Great demo great piece of kit and great price

Photo bomber Zon cat is at it again! Lol Seems like something you'd keep in your truck for just in case no matter what! Great price of gear!

This looks like a great piece of kit, Dave! I have an Ecotat poncho and matching sleeping bag and love them! Since your new quilt is similar to the Ecotat, I'm sure it's going to be great! I'm going to order one.

6:41 And here comes Zahn!
Well done, Thanks!
Man I would love to see this developed in a youth size. Something that’s actually durable, useful, and kids wouldn’t grow out of it in 6 months.
Loving these long videos Dave 🙏🙏🙏🙏👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Very nice
Love the cat.
PATHFINDER SCOUT PACK IN M81!!!! Gonna need one of those
Coming this summer
That cat's your battle buddy!
Very cool Dave, the cat definitely video bomb you, lol, got to love them.
Dave should create and host a new version of Doom preppers. Would be pretty cool with Dave as a host
I miss watching you on TV
