      @topsnowtravel  3 роки тому +3

      Yes we will Gilles. We are filming in Alpe d'Huez next January so we will have a video out on our UA-cam channel by the end of February 2022.
      Serre Chevalier will probably have to wait the following season. Stay tuned...

    So, if you are taking a family ski holiday in January (Australian summer holidays) with 2 adults (1 expert, 1 intermediate) and 2 kids (12 and 10yo intermediates) do you choose Val D'Isere/Tignes, La Plagne or La Rosiere and why?

    • @topsnowtravel
      @topsnowtravel  2 роки тому +5

      Hi Jason,
      It all depends on what criteria is most important according to you.
      If you want high standard accommodation and want a village with great atmosphere, choose Val d’Isère.
      If you still want a good standard accommodation but something more quiet and on a smaller budget, choose La Rosière. If you want convenience with lots of ski-in ski-out options and on a budget for price and standard, choose La Plagne.
      I would also recommend for families a pedestrian only villages where all accommodation is ski-in ski-out and with a beautiful ski area: Avoriaz 1800
      Here are our guides to those ski resorts:

    Is this good for beginners or skiers who don’t have more than a week’s experience?

    • @topsnowtravel
      @topsnowtravel  2 роки тому +3

      The ski area has a huge beginner and intermediate slopes (green and blue runs) at the top of the mountains which you can easily get to from the village via gondola 🚠 (either Olympique or Solaise gondola) however to ski back to the village, the slopes are fairly steep (red runs) so more suited to intermediate level ability or advanced. You can however just catch the gondola down to avoid those red or black runs. For a better suited beginner ski resort with nice and easy green/blue runs that flow into the resort, you could try Avoriaz 1800:

      @@YgalSharon Ha ha ha.
      First of all you don't even know what my country is, secondly Val D'Isere isn't the biggest or longest resort in the world.
      French lift systems for example are decades behind those in Austria, French resorts are largely purpose built and ugly and many have insufferably long transfer times and terrible transport.
