小学生の時にひょうきん族で聞いた事あると大人になって思い出した。
昔は土曜日は特別でした。子供の頃も土曜日は少し夜ふかしできるのが良かった。

英語で「DOWN TOWN」とは下町ではなく「街の中心部」いちばん華やかな場所の意味。だから土曜の夜に遊びにくり出すんですね。
EPOの歌うDOWN TOWN、彼女らしくていいよね。レコードは持っているんだけど、こうやって聴くのも刺激的だな。ベースが好きだな。

この曲のイメージは80年代の新宿歌舞伎町、土曜夜。スマホもLINEも無い時代、週末は何万人という男女が今夜だけの恋人を見つけに集まった。「暗い気持ちさえすぐに晴れてみんなウキウキ」日本の経済が世界一と言われた時代、毎週巨大なフェス状態だった。マジでマジで凄かった。今では信じられないけど、この曲にその時の雰囲気を感じる。

@@ene8894 全盛期やったから、あっちこちあったで。阪急裏の一角にもあったし、ポコ・ア・ポコ。そこから５分位の所にディノとプレイ・ゴー。東門前真っ直ぐ行って右に曲がって真っ直ぐ行くと、５１５。一番安くて女の子が多くて盛り上がる店はディノやったな。踊りが上手い奴が多かったから、張り合ってたよ☺
