The Whales are very special and wonderful to see. Ivan and Hannah are doing great. Her first passage, what an experience. Subscribers are going up, Yeah. A fantastic video as usual. Ivan always brings his sense of humour in somewhere. Keep well and safe. James.
Seeing whales is always incredible. It puts you and your boat in perspective. We were sailing in the Sea of Cortez and a whale was swimming towards our starboard side. It dove as it approached us and he swam beneath the boat, rising on the port side. He could have crushed us, instead we saw his tail fin rising in the water as if saying goodbye. Great episode!
Well look at you 5 speeding through a super successful passage! What a team! Congratulations to Hannah for her first and to all of you for a smooth and safe passage.
Another great video Rachel! After seeing all the work behind the scenes of the efforts that go into these videos it only makes me appreciate them more! I'm so happy to have had my first crossing with THE Cruising Kiwis. The confidence you had in my (very, very little) skills made for an even better passage. Can't wait for the next video so I can give my parents the running commentary, as they have to keep pausing the video to let me speak😂

What a beautiful family. I love watching you all but do worry about mocha being over adventurous with them birds. If it was my tigger she'd be overboard. Love from Scotland ❤
Mocha is a law onto herself. We try to keep her inside when the weather gets rough but that cat hates to be restricted in any way. Unfortunately we occasionally need to immobilise her by putting her in her life vest, which she hates but renders her motionless.
Fffffar out. The biggest in the world. The only one I've had close to my boat, up round the Hen and Chickens was ID as a Brydes whale. Roughly 50ft long. That's a guesstimate. Some good mileage there folks eh.? Well done. Thank you for sharing. Atb from down here.
We saw lots of humpback whales when we were in Tonga and then again on the west coast of Australia. Every so often we see Brydes whales, the last sighting was Fuvahmulah island, where we swam with the tiger sharks. But blue whales, this elusive creature. How amazing to have one so close to the boat. It must have been day dreaming to allow us to get so close.
Brave Mocha!! And Ivan, dragging full speed! Good job Hannah, quickly learnig...though I remember she sailed a lot whit his parents. Beautiful boogie birds, poor Mocha not been able to hunt them down... Awesome blue whale!! Worth that awkward wakening, Rachel, haha. Did Ivan filmed with the drone? Well done!! Tasty food, you treat yourselves great!! (As you deserve!). Hannah, Rachel was right... "It's not over yet"... Rob, be careful... Crew need their Captain in full shape. Keep working out, push ups 👌💪 Ivan, you are unbeatable indeed!! Specially for Mocha haha and now taking the role of EMC (Expendable aka Excepcionally Middle Child... got to change name)... Safe journeys Team Hamill, fair winds! Take care & enjoy Africa, can't waite to see the African episodes! What wonders await The Cruising Kiwis&Hannah? Will Ivan find more friends to play soccer with? (I guess so); will Rob find rare food (also easy guess, 99% yes haha)...

Hard to believe that we used to kill these majestic creatures. On a slightly different level when I was young (1940s-'50s in East Germany) we raised chickens, ducks, rabbits and pigs to survive and slaughtered them. Nowadays I doubt that I could do that and probably become vegan though luckily somebody else does the dirty work for me --- on the other hand nature in general works by the same rule: the larger, stronger critter preys on the smaller critter. Maybe some day mankind will sustain itself by consuming "replicated food" (ala Strar Trek) but I won't see it. P.S.
