safe you money and budget from the origin: Eibach Pro Lift Kit + Sachs Super Touring reinforced shock absorber. All under 1500,- And Seikel only (unofficial) recommend the engine and gearbox protection! Why? Because the California is to heavy, if you get stuck at the front with 2.7t. you know not to continue... ;) I drive my T6 with this setup and I can highly recommend it!
Awesome setup Mark. def need this underbody protection for my pending 6.1 cali. Roughly how long are the shipping times from Seikel? Or are these in stock in AUS?
Many thanks for the feedback! We have a few sets arriving but shipping times are up to 4 months particularly with the current somewhat 'wobbly' freight arrangements globally :(
Awesome. Did you also lower the front diff or is this part of the whole gearbox? I noticed your front right inner cv boot may be leaking. Have a closer look
Also had the same right front inner cv issue on my transporter ( 140 000km). Caused mayor acceleration vibration issues and could not drive in 7th gear and below 2200rpm
No lift at the moment....stock standard suspension (3200 kg GVM option) with 235x65xR17 Pirelli Scorpion AT tyres. Seikel suspension is a dream but a bit premium if the standard suspension is not yet in need of replacment. Bought the vehicle used at 118000km and initially thought CV grease was an oil leak. I used the “leak” to negotiate more discount on the purchase price. Fixed the leaking CV boot afterwards, but damage to CV became apparent 20000 km later. Was relatively cheap fix to replace both inner CVs from local aftermarket German CV parts distributor. Agents pricing was not an option nor did they diagnose the problem correctly Based on VW service history a DSG transmission oil change was skipped at 60000km by fault of previous owner( based on “hit and miss” or very late history of bringing the car to the dealer for services) that lead to transmission replacement at 109000km. I think the CV boot was not replaced correctly in the process of changing transmissions , leading to the CV failure later on in the process Also did the electronic EGR cancel on the CFC engine to save it from the aluminium cooler corrosion issue that leads to aluminium rust getting into the engine leading to oil consumption We do you enjoy our bus though! :)
Nice, but people have to know this hard suspension kit will make the car less comfy. I have also the Seikel lift kit and gearbox protection on a T5 chassis. My kidneys are crying in off road 🙂 Have you done the rear diff and gearbox breather relocations too?

Well explained, mate. Thank you!
Do we need dif breathers moved up to the engine bay on Volkswagen?
Hi Guys! Great video. Do you have the Crafter Seikel lift kit?
Would this kit work on the DoubleCab chassis T5/T6?

HI Nawir - no we did not lower the front diff and good pickup - yes it was and this was quickly attended to! :)

@@vlakkieaarde Thanks for contributing - certainly a higher mileage. How much lift did you have on your Transporter?

Wouldn't it be smart to change that big muffler to smaller one or delete it altogether? It might not change the exhaust sound(/noise) much.

What’s the max depth of water for this van 🍺👍
