THEY SUCK AND NIKKI SIXX IS AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN, a phony musician,,He NEVER LEARNED HIS INSTRUMENT~!!!!! HOW CAN YOU HOLD A BASS GUITAR FOR FORTY YEARS AND STILL NOT KNOW HOW TO PLAY IT~? I've been a Metal vocalist for 30 years, and I have never lost my voice once,,, and I sing hardcore, aggressive, Metal,,,, kind of like Mudvayne,Pantera,Slipknot,
Manson . ... etc.... I even play rhythm guitar, i choose not to on stage those, i do it more for writing purposes,, i could be a good bass player if I wanted to be, i would make Nikki Sixx, look like the douchebag that he is , when I was a young kid, I used to be a fan,,, now, I wish I could take those years back~ the only real musician in that band was Mick Mars,,,, and lard ass vVnce Neil,,, still an Alcoholic After he killed a fellow musician, a drummer from the U.K. named "Razzle"~SMH ~ PLEASE, MOTLEY, FAKE, GO AWAY.JUST GO AWAY,,,,, AND JOHN 5,,, What on God's Green earth were you thinking ~???????? Y'know, it's a shame because there are SO many metal bands from the 80s who still rock hard. Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Accept... Sadly, Motley Crue is not among them. Clearly Neil didn't take care of his voice, Tommy and Nikki just don't bloody care anymore, and they all shot themselves in the foot by canning Mick Mars, the last vestige of talent that band hand. They might still be doing well financially, but if it's purely a question of the band's current quality... they absolutely should retire.

They're like the Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen. They sound terrible now, even with the back tracks. The rolling Stones are 100 years old, Bruce Springsteen has always been overrated drunk jersey rock. What's Motley Crue's excuse?

I know they're not pure metal, but I would add Def Leppard to the list as well! Crue and Leppard did a package tour a couple years back and looking at videos from the tour, MAN Def Leppard blows them out of the water. They still sound tight, and while they've had to lower keys and retire certain songs from the setlist, that's...normal. That's a typical evolution for a rock band. Crue...I don't know what the hell happened there.

They seem like a band that won't snuff off until one of or more of the band members start dropping like flies. I worry about this with Judas Priest, knowing how Rob Halford doesn't seem to want to let go and yes I understand they've been putting out good stuff as of late. They're an exception but I'm focusing on the principle of the matter. Motorhead kept going until Lemmy died and that was really that. Slayer ends up coming back after 5 years since their farewell tour. KISS is notorious for multiple farewell tours but returning. Ozzy, the same.
Though they seemingly are wrapping up and then you look at Motley Crue and all you can do is just slowly shake your head in disappointment.

Let's be honest: Motley Crue for the vast majority of their duration have been more known for their image than their actual music. Like Todd In The Shadows said in his "Generation Swine" TRAINWRECKORDS episode: "A good story goes a long, long way!"
But as far as their actual music over these past three decades is concerned: it's overwhelmingly sub-par to embarrassing. Their single "Saints Of Los Angeles" was admittedly decent, but that's really about it in my opinion as most the rest range from sad, desperate attempts to rehash their party-hardy 80s bag of tricks, or else poor man's attempts at imitating Korn and Stone Temple Pilots: which they simply can't pull off with Neil's type of vocal.

As for them retiring, personally that should have been their last decade that 2010 tour would have been a good closer, but look, while I am not a huge die hard fan of the band, if people are still paying to see them and there's still that demand, I don't think there's any reason why they should retire. Technically owe more to him for their success then they will ever appreciate

I am a die-hard glam-rock and hair-metal defender, but I think Crue should have stuck to their retirement tour. Even that last tour, they were showing the cracks. I have no problem with Crue replacing Mars with John 5 (because...well, he's John freakin' 5!), but the WAY they did was assholic.
I missed the stadium show in St. Louis as a photog (too man shows when gas prices were running hot), I skipped the retirement tour show (had tickets, but the reviews were SOOO bad!). I love Crue, and I skipped two separate tours. I think that's a fair representation of the die-hard glam-rock and hair-metal defenders.

I also wanted to add for everyone demanding Crue goes into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame - and leaving out all the regular Rock Hall vitriol - one of the things the hall looks for is artists who exemplify some of the best aspects of rock and music in general. Not saying everyone inducted are saints, but Crue is WAY more known for the negative headlines. In my opinion, that's what will keep them out of the hall forever (much like Ted Nugent).

  • @4StringSickoSIXX
    @4StringSickoSIXX 3 місяці тому +1

    Yeah, they should
I love the Crue, Mick and Nikki are personal idols, I got most of Nikkis books and side projects, even 58. Micks solo album was awesome.
But the way they treated Mick after he retired, the way Vince sounds, how much the new songs lyrics sound like they will tour with Kid Rock and Tom Mcdonald next, how John 5 is wasted, etc. And for Tommy, at this point I would be exited to hear that he would play and produce MGKs metal project and MGK sucks.
    So yeah: PLEASE RETIRE
And apologize to "Mick fuckin Mars, the hardest man on the planet."

Mick Mars WAS Motley Crue. Nikki had the impetus to start the band, and it was his idea. Tommy was definitely a defining drummer for them as he came up with some pretty cool parts at times. Vince used to be able to sing -even live, maybe not the greatest singer of the 80s but he had a unique voice. But Mick, well without HIS input, without HIS riffs, and without HIS playing the Crue wouldn't have been anything like they once were. And this is NOT meant as ANY disrespect to John 5 as he is a phenomenal guitarist but I think he took this for the paycheck. He's so underutilized on that abomination of an EP they released, that he should quit even if he needed the money. MC should retire and let Vince eat all the Fatburgers he wants, Nikki brag about how great he was and Tommy fade back into obscurity.

Listen, I don’t care how good the musicians are in any band. If the lead singer is just okay? Its weak! The Crue tried to introduce the world to John Corabi, (one of their best albums) but nooooo people wouldn’t accept him. So deal with Vince. My issue with Vince is: His timing is always off!

I saw them last year and the music was so loud, you could barely even hear Vince singing. Guess their logic is "If they can't hear him, they'll have no idea just how awful he currently sounds". I should've just left after Def Leppard's set finished because those guys on the other hand have gotten better with each of the three times I've seen them live over the years.

I am very disappointed with how much they want to sell anything related to their band's work(literally everything, including Vince burping, and the dog barking in the background). They sound bad, and surround themselves with ridiculous fanfare, which is just ridiculous. Such an irony, such a damn irony, when Nikki wrote about the Kiss: they're damn businessmen, but I'm a creative person, I stand up for music with all my soul. What a babbler you are, Nikki. I want to keep in mind the Motleys who played the 80s and 90s. And that's it.

Started thinking maybe he didnt know the lyrics or just needed to catch his breath.. it was bad 👎
