There is some inherent hidden symbolism tucked into this fight, I just know it. But really, this was a really engaging VS fight! It almost makes me want to play as The Collector myself since he inherently has a strategy to his fights (so to speak) + Disposable party members lol
Pity the skill variety is quite low, as you can see I was mostly spamming 1-2 skills. But it was meant to be this way, knowing each enemy's 10+ skills would be too hard for players and more RNG dependent.
@@single-player Exactly, and it would likely require a lot of extra effort and a forefront of balance, especially for just one mini boss like Collector. Still, the thought is intriguing nonetheless, plus what I like is that the Collector has the barebones of a player composition, if you wanna overthink it, as he has a Tank, DPS, Support/Healer, and then the Collector himself has way of "directing" there attacks thanks to the fact his moves always apply Taunt. (Which in game helps you more as a Player, but, as a mechanic in the fight? Much more interesting and "fair" so to speak.)
1. The Collector can summon heads with 1-round cooldown. 2. The chances to have the ability to summon depends on amount of heads already in the battle: 0 heads = 100% 1 head = 50% 2 heads = 15% So I was lucky with 15% chance once (when having 2 heads on the field), and not so much with 50% when left alone with Vestal. In total, this fight was extremely lucky in my favour, and it was just the third try.
@@Bloodlyshiva yes, as soon as Collector gets focus, he loses. You can also get more than one focus from the first round, and getting rid of it is not always possible.
And can you please push the Forester and the Giant of the city of meat, they are my two favorite giants and it would be interesting to find out which of them is stronger
I was expecting viewers to figure them out like in the Flayed video, but current OST is not an easy task. So, first one is Parasite Eve 2 final boss OST: ua-cam.com/video/Kr8EaoC8JYU/v-deo.html Second one is from Contra Shattered Soldier: ua-cam.com/video/TA_eXpJl9dY/v-deo.html

perfect! I initially wanted the Collector to win, since he is the classic mini-boss of the game! But tell me, is there any mod that allows you to go through the campaign while playing as a collector? I think this would be a very interesting walkthrough! After all, from the history of the game, the collector was a man who, together with the hero from the first part, was an antiquarian who dealt with valuables, but was betrayed and killed by her.
I've heard about a mod that allows a player to play as villian, it's called Monster Mix. I can't tell how stable it is right now. Link to the mod: www.nexusmods.com/darkestdungeon2/mods/212 And I never heard that part of Antuqiarian story. Her master is always near her, trapped inside her censer - that is what she says during afflictions.
2:13 collector: mf stop flashing my dudes in the face
My average encounter with the Collector.
Collector is just really happy that the eyeballs want to see his collection :]
3:06 Bro is locking in
He caught alot of gazes with his collection. Let's see what it's worth with some extra close inspection
damn I forgot how grotesque the focused fault looks
I did not expected the collector to win
Me neither!

I really enjoy those boss versus boos videos. Keep them coming :)
Thanks!
Thank you so much, still love them and rooting for DD1 bosses.@@single-player
collector ai if it was smarter:
This is so damn good, love it haha
Glad you find it interesting, I have more VS videos on the channel, if you haven't seen them!
Do Collector vs Death next. Battle of the boneheads.
it's kinda scary how much damage FF can deal if undisrupted, just like RR
Love your content, are you going to continue black reliquary guides? I love to see more
Yes, I have plenty of ideas. I just don’t have time to implement them currently.
Bro got carried with that death armor
the collecter is probably one of my fav mini bosses he looks so cool
We know too little about multiverses...
Do Darkest Dungeon 1 vs Darkest Dungeon 2: who would win?
Good fight! I was wondering why your collector just stopped summoning dismas`es heads, could you explain please?
1. The Collector can summon heads with 1-round cooldown.
2. The chances to have the ability to summon depends on amount of heads already in the battle:
0 heads = 100%
1 head = 50%
2 heads = 15%

Well, if you're asking exactly about Dismas, then it's probably because of random. Not sure if first set of heads are always all 3 of them.
@@single-playerthanks for the explanation. Im pretty sure that collector summons 3 different head at his first round
@@single-player "and it was just the third try".
So generally the Fault wins?

The video is great as always, I love this boss fight column
Honestly the focused fault got really unlucky on who it beheld if it saw the collector sooner i think it would have won
That was just one of the tries, most of them were very short when Collector got focus from the start.
Damn man
Where I can found all songs what you use there?

would it be possible to play as the focused fault in a fight starting as four cluster of eyes and them dying?
Yes, the default way of playing them is the easiest.
@@single-player can you make a tutorial on how to edit your save files to do this? im really curious
@@ethanthaman2858 Mod support is coming soon, then maybe I'll make a basic guide. Now it's risky to edit the files - game may break or you lose your profile.
In short, you copy enemy data from previous combat fights and replace you hero data in the current fight.
@@single-player where do i find stuff like that?
How did you do this?
Modified save file. Copied data from Collector encounter and replaced my party data with it.
