The Fastest Ways to Bring Traffic to a New Website

- It's easy to do SEO when you got a old site that already has a ton of back links. It's easy to spend money on paid advertising when you're already rich and you're an established company. But what happens when you're a new website? How can you get that traffic? Today I'm going to break down the fastest ways to bring traffic to a brand new site.

The first method I have for you is to partner with other content creators. Have you thought about co-hosting blog content?
So all the things where I'll go and I'll create content with other people and we'll do it on a similar topic.
So for example, we may do a joint webinar, joint podcast. We may even do roundup posts. We may even do interviews with other people.
By partnering with other content creators, you'll find that they'll Promote the content and you'll promote the content as well.
But you may be like, Neil, I don't have any traffic to my site. That's okay. That's why I also gave you options to interview people and do roundup posts, because people are always flattered to be interviewed.
People are always flattered to be included in a roundup post.
And you know what, when you include X person in these posts, what are they going to do when it gets published?
They're going to share it. When they share it on their favorite social site, what happens, you get more traffic.
And yeah, you may find that all of the experts may not share the content, but if you email asking them to, a large portion will.
I'm talking about 30%, 40% plus. I found that when people interview me and they ask me to share the content, almost always I share it.
Giveaways, contests, or promotions.
Look, reach out to other websites in your niche, offer them something that's valuable to their audience, and They'll spread the word. When they do, you'll get extra traffic.
Giveaways have been so effective. You guys are all familiar With the guy named Tai Lopez.
Here in my garage is this Lamborghini, right?
He's famous or known for that video as well as a lot of other things. What does Tai do that's Extremely effective and smart?
He does a ton of giveaways. He's given away money, he's given away cars, he's given away shoes, he gives away whatever he wants to give away that he can think of.
And it's super effective, because when you do giveaways, people love it, they spread the word, you get a ton of traffic, you get a ton of followers, a ton of engagement, and you can keep leveraging that audience to keep coming back.
Method number three, push notifications.
It's the simplest way to keep getting more and more traffic.
Just think of it this way. Look, someone comes to your site, are they going to come back? Chances are no.
If you're not sure about this, check out Google Analytics. There's a cohort report in there, it shows you how often people come back. You're lucky if three months down the road even 1% of your audience comes back.
By doing those push notifications with one click, someone's subscribed to your site, they don't have to put in an email or anything, they don't have to give you any of their personal information, and then any time you release more content, any new features, promotions, you can message them all out and quickly get them back to your site.
And you can use Subscribers to do this, subscribers.com.
The fourth thing you want to do, paid ads.
And you may not have a big budget, that's okay.
Did you know in many cases Google AdWords will give you $50 or $100 in free adspend?
Don't believe me, google for it. You'll find a ton of offers and coupons like that. You can use it to get started, it'll give you a quick boost in traffic.
Yes, those visitors may not convert into customers because you may not have enough time to run the optimal campaigns, but it's a great start.
Just try that out, you'll get a quick boost of traffic.
And you know what? If you get some sales, you can keep doing more and more of it over time.

Dear Neil. With Yoast, how important is the readability analysis score would you say when it comes to ranking? I always score great on SEO but rather poor when it comes to readability. Is it time to restructure my posts?
Sometimes I don't think the readability measurement is totally accurate. However, I would try your best to keep it as high as you can.
The other thing I learned is guest blogging. There are a number of sites which have a bit less strict policies for contributors - but with very high Domain Authority. I'm working on it and it helps new blogger to get traffic and build authority.
That can work well for sure ;)

Hey Neil, awesome video! I found your channel today and have already watched several videos, I love how clear and concise you are!
I have recently started a site, but I am yet to build up the audience needed for a lot of these methods.
I feel like other content creators aren't likely to work with someone so new to the game (they often want larger DA than I have, but how am I meant to increase DA without collaborating). Equally it's not worth using ads when I haven't got everything else set up to get people to stick around, and doing giveaways to an audience of almost zero wouldn't go great either!
Would you recommend anything, in particular, to give my blog a boost in order to get me to a level where collaborations with others are more likely and some of these methods will work better! Cheers :)
I'd get involved on social media groups or forums that would be interested in the content your site has to offer! Engage with big accounts that are in your space as well! Get your name out there

Successful bloggers don't usually share new bloggers content. As I mentioned you and some other successful entrepreneurs on my personal growth blog a number of times, but, I don't get so much response.
Successful people only respond when we give them something valuable. For example, I followed your dead links method and usually I get a positive response from most of them - but not all.
So, it's better to offer them something more valuable for them instead of giving a backlink from a new website.
Guest posting can still work really well depending on where you are trying to post.
@@neilpatel that's true. For new bloggers, I would recommend to use Ubersuggest backlink check to find competitors backlinks, build links over there and write guest posts for relevant blogs - for off-page SEO.

Hi Neil! I have a big question that I can't seem to get a definitive answer to. Should I be creating content for my clients? Some people argue yes that I should because it's part of SEO services. Others argue no because how will you know the business as well as your client. So should I be creating content or should my client create their own content?
It depends, Katy. If they don't have the skills or bandwidth then yes, you should be. But make sure to charge separately or incorporate the additional costs into the contract.
I'm looking at this because I want to revitalize an already existing site. And tip 1 definitely works.
That's the backbone of building an audience. I would almost say that is HOW you build an audience. The rest is the snowball effect from that.
People are vain. People like to be noticed. People are easy to flatter. So when you've interviewed them and told them "hey, the article's up", 8 times out of 10, no matter how big names they are, they are gonna tell all their friends and followers "Look, this person did a thing about me".
I mean, how many times haven't you seen a top-shelf celebrity share some corny picture some fan drew of them on Twitter? Or top brand scientist share a selfie some kid took at some convention? They LOVE to be noticed. YOU LOVE to be noticed. It's a match made in heaven!
So never forget, when interviewing anyone, to include the date you expect that article to be out. And to send out a reminder to the interviewee once that publish button is hit.
You could even take it a step further and let them proof-read their contribution "for errors" before publishing just so they have it in fresh memory and get that share-button ready.
Works like a charm!
