Good information here mate, you have demonstrated how to work out the percentage of oil used per litre of fuel, ie, 50:1= 2% 33:1=3% 25:1=4% and so on and so on. Thank you.

Excellent tip Sandy. Much appreciated. I still remember when a neighbor forgot to add oil to this motorboat after storage. Motor started and then froze. He destroyed it. Peace, Ken

I have a two stroke Jawa 350 motorcycle, two cilynders. Factory recomends 1:40 ratio. When I was younger I never measured exactly; I put oil in petrol on "eye" and "by feel" but I never put less. I put oil in petrol to this day like that. Its not dangerous if you put a little bit more oil, just dont put less oil. Jawa still works good.

Great video and easy to understand. As I use small quantities I use a lawnmower/chainsaw mixing plastic bottle with mixture measurement marks. Very cheap at around £3. Also can be used for storage. Talking about storage they recommend 2 x stroke fuel mix should be kept no longer than 1 month. Modern Straight Petrol 3 months as it starts to deteriorate. Also old motorbike glass fibre fuel tanks as well as O rings and plastic float bowls can dissolve with modern petrol. All according to Motorcycle magazines articles George Ps Its mentioned on the BMW Air Head Forum under Etherynol etc.

Good video. Here in the US I buy premixed gas in sealed cans. They put ethanol in the fuel that you buy at a gas stations and it runs too hot for small two stoke engines. I've learned this the hard way with expensive repair bills.

handy for the larger amounts you need for your flying machine. but us gardeners use pre marked 2 stroke mixing bottles with various ratios marked on the side. in my case its 50-1 for stihl machines.

Great info bro. With you doing the motor tests I can not help thinking about how long before we see someone on a skate board using a para motor for propulsion. (maybe it has already been done) I used to use 25 to 1 in all my 2 stroke motors but these days with the synthetic oil I use 50 to 1 and what a difference in performance and far less fumes. ATB.

Oddly enough I was just thinking along similar lines as an aid for take off. A wheeled "platform" of some sort that the pilot could stand or sit on until take off speed was reached and he could then jettison it and rise above us. Maybe I need to get out more!!

I just got a new engine DR Evolution 50cc air cooled for my scooter and replaced everything in the transmission.
The connecting rod bearing somehow fell apart and made it into the chamber destroying the engine.
This is a Peugeot Speedfight II and it was the original engine with about 15.000kilometers, I've been told it was just too old and that's why that happened not because it didn't get enough or any oil cause apparently the autolube works or at least its consuming oil from the oil tank and there is no oil leakage sign anywhere so it must go into the engine I guess. I've been told that through the break in period which is 500km which I've been through already, add an extra 10-20ml oil to the fuel tank. I actually added 40ml and recently after 400km 60ml because I was trying out the limits of the new engine.
My question is, would it harm the scooter if I keep adding extra oil to the fuel? What would be the limitations for that? I know the 50:1 ratio, I have a 7l fuel tank so if I were to premix oil with fuel I should add 120ml which I guess would be too much oil of course and the mixture would be too lean making the engine hotter and thus causing an engine seize no matter the extra oil. But like would 60-80ml extra oil do any damage or would it even do any good in the first place or its not even necessary at all to add even a small amount of extra oil to the fuel if the oil pump works in theory?
I'd be glad if someone could help cause I'm more of a car guy, I just got this scooter to have some fun with it at places where my car can't go, I know how the 2t engine works and the premix would be also simple solution I know. I'm not really familiar with the autolube system but I guess the engineers designing these scooters and whoever came up with this autolube system must know what they are doing and how this system is supposed to work. So I wouldn't wanna just go with the "disconnect the autolube and mix it on your own" what most people say on forums.

Over complicated. If you have 5 litres that’s 5000ml .divide it by 50 if it’s 50:1 =100ml easy. 2litres =2000ml divide it by your ratio eg 50:1 =40ml oil

May I suggest just keep it in the same ml format divide your 33 or 40 etc. ratio into your fuel in ml and get the answer skipping the extra complication eg: 5000ml /33 =151.5.ml 750ml /33 = 22.7ml 5000ml / 40=125ml it is the amount in ml that is important.
