We did a mass deployment of 8841's and 8851's a couple years ago and I remember thinking that would be the last time we did a complete upgrade of physical phones.
I’m a retired CCNP now and managed Call Manager and Call Center for the last 14 years. Quick question if I want to go through the MPP conversion do I need to establish a new Cisco ID?
hi there i have a question, i’m trying to download free PBX on my mac book and i have a cisco 7821 but every time i download it, it keeps saying no mountable file systems. would you know how to fix this?
I’ll see what i can do on that front. It’s a completely different phone. It runs Android. It would be like comparing an iphone to the old nokia phones.
@@leenash36 Did you see this video I did? ua-cam.com/video/wzU9UEuTA0o/v-deo.html You dont need CUCM if you are going to be using your cellular service.
@@CiscoSal I did and my 8845 looks nothing like the screen on that phone. Doesn't even have the bluetooth settings on it is a 8845-K9 VO4 if that makes a difference
@@leenash36 So you have a CUCM controlled phone then. You need to buy the 3PCC/MPP version. Where did you purchase the phone from? I would return it and get the correct model. CP-8845-3PCC-K9 is what you want.
Is this for personal or work? These phones need a paid voip service to work. Those voip platforms will be able to send calls to the desk phone and to your cell phone. Check out Cisco webex calling. It’s a user/month cost.
True vibes, just a man and his phones
My new job has zero desk phones in the whole company

Exactly! I have been hearing more and more of that!

I just learned there’s a new WebEx wireless phone. Can you also feature this in your channel?
Lol just got it in! That video will be coming soon
@@CiscoSal great! Would be great if you can compare them to the 8821? Thanks for all your cool videos. Surely helps me a lot!

Hi, is there a way of activating bluetooth on an 8845 without the software. Only want to use the phone with mobile, ta.
Yeah should not need to do anything. Go into settings on the phone and pair it
@@CiscoSal wish it was that simple no CUCM and can get a copy of it without spending loads.

Where can you buy Cisco IP phones
Anywhere. Contact a Cisco reseller. A quick easy one is CDW.
eBay
Are the 8800 series SCCP compatible with UC540 series?
No. That platform has been dead for quite some time.
Correction, the last CISCO phones you'll ever buy. FTFY.
