Thanks for this review! I've tried out a couple river waves (Boise and Bend) with my usual ocean quiver and have struggled. Can't wait to check out Chelan in the summer.
Quality review of the wave and boards!!!... Any thoughts on: the cost per session; line-up (crowded/not crowded/abilities/etc); over all user vibe (as compared to river surfing, especially free vs. pay); & how if need be to improve this type of particular wavepool surfing safari (cost, location, months open, etc.).... Thanks
Good questions! I'll try my best to give you my opinions. Cost: as someone from out of town, surfing a bunch of sessions over a few days, the price seemed reasonable. If I lived locally and wanted to surf everyday, it might get expensive, but they do offer season pass deals. Line up: some sessions were crowded, others barely had anyone. If you're worried about crowds, the early and late sessions were always empty. But even during the crowded sessions, I got plenty of surfing time. Vibe: super good. Lots of people new to the sport and stoked. Improvements: I think you nailed it. We need more City Wave locations in the US and we need them opened year round! The only thing that would be nice for them to improve is to find a way to make the wave deeper and less likely to destroy boards.

Good info. Not a surfer. Waterskier. Seems like sharper rails would be better for faster wave. A little more rocker might be more responsive too.
