You can pull the grommet out more, slice it open then put the wire also in so they both are in so you can fit the grommet back in

Remote wire goes from the back of the radio to the amp... unless you use the stock radio then u need the converter kit.. or you can run a wire anywhere that is accessory power, so whe you turn the car off it turns off.. I ALWAYS run mine to a toggle switch, then from a toggle switch to the amp.. That way if I dont want to use the amp i dont have to...
