I've had one for 10 years. Been tempted to sell it (Mercedes themselves tried to buy it from me) but it's always good for a giggle and it's hard to put a value on smiles. Here's something to do: drive close to a wall/divider with the windows down, lock it 4th gear and get it low in the rpm range. It makes some of the most interesting gurgling and soft overrun pop sounds.
That’s interesting to hear, did they just phone you up and asked if you wanted to sell it? That’s exactly the same for me, I couldn’t imagine what could return the same amount of joy the C63 does, at the same price point! I will definitely be giving that a try for sure! 😉

I bought mine with 32k miles, with a budget of 30k you can afford a lot! Mileage isn’t much of an issue with C63’s, so I wouldn’t be put off with higher mileage examples either :)
Thank you very much, I couldn’t agree more! When I was looking for my C63, it had to have the silver wheels, palladium silver paintwork and the red/black leather. Then I finally found one, and it just so happened that it was also a performance package! I couldn’t believe my luck, it’s the perfect specification for me : )
Hi Nathan about to buy an almost identical spec.. only difference is mine will have full red interior although i do prefer the two tone. Been looking for 2 years and they just dont come up! Does yours have an LSD?

@@JonPowersDrives sometimes you just have to wait and timing will work in your favor. Just missed out on a beautiful p31 with one owner last week- only to end up buying an edition 1, one owner, 9k on the dash for the same price. The timing will be tight for you if you are patient!

Another good video. Yeah, you probably can't do much better for £24k nowadays; it's difficult to find a good C63 for less than £20k anyway. What you said about the parking brake made me laugh: once my dad had to drive my CLK to pick me up from somewhere after my bike suffered a puncture (stupidly I didn't have a pump with me; I've always carried one since) and he couldn't work the handbrake out; fortunately a neighbour who had a Mercedes was passing by, saw what was happening and lent a hand! The grey on the outside looks brilliant; great interior too (save for some of the plastics as I've said before) but not a fan of red anywhere: no Leeds United fan could ever have red in their car or anywhere else! Keep up the good work
I absolutely love these cars, my neighbour has one and its brutal, i can hear the exhaust note from 5 doors away. I have an M140i, but seriously considering getting a C63 when I can. Epic cars.
They really do Rob, their initial startup is really loud and have such a thunderous soundtrack! I actually have a video filmed comparing both the C63 and M140i back to back, I’ll be uploading that in a few weeks! : ) Being a little bias, I think you should take the plunge, even if it’s only for a few months as I think a bucket list car all petrolheads should experience! : )
@@NathanMannin oh nice one look forward to seeing that. The 140 is a brilliant car, it pretty much does everything I need it to do and the B58 is a sweet engine. But yeah the C63 is full of character, and experiencing that V8 engine is something I need to try some day, I dont do many miles either so I could probably warrant getting one and using it at the weekend. @@roblanger5546 Cheers Rob! I’m very fond of the M140i myself, the comparison video will explain why. In short I was going to buy one, but my partner bought one so I ended up with a C63! If you’re not doing many miles I would say it’s worth it, even if it’s a short term purchase, it’s most certainly a bucket list car to tick in my opinion!
Great to see you back again with these POV driving videos. I like the realistic driving style you do with your casual talking - one does not have to always break the speed limit just to make an interesting video! Great choice you made for 24k btw, i'm such a sucker for sunroofs/panoramic glass roofs - especially if you're not going to use it for trackdays. Z4Ms are very underrated - I hear that the steering rack and brakes are from the M3 CSL and once you fit the S54 engine with a carbon airbox from that CSL, you have one of the best sounding 6 cylinders ever made.
I’m glad to hear you enjoy them! I get semi conscious that my style is quite boring, but I’m trying to learn how to edit my videos instead of it all being just one take and maybe diversify a little and create some different style videos. But I do enjoy primarily doing the POV videos and lots of planned videos ahead. Yeah the pan roofs are brilliant, even at night in the summer it’s nice to see the dark sky and stars through the glass. Makes the cabin a lot more spacious and airy too. I still really want a Z4M, but I’m not rich enough to have both :D The S54 with the eventuri intake as well sounds off this planet! The guy I bought the C63 from, his previous car was in fact a Z4MC so I guess it was just meant to be really! Maybe one day I’ll own A Z4M though ;)

I had the C350 coupe and always wanted the C63. I would take any excuse to drive it and put about 161k kilometers on it in 4 years. The maintenance killed me, but I loved the car. Nothing drives quite like a Mercedes, in my opinion. I wish it hadn’t been my first car because every car I’ve driven thereafter has been disappointing by comparison.

@@NathanMannin their all good man i cant say one brothers better then the other if its merc its a rider car depending on the spec you want, need, got a clk 220 cdi sport but even that is a god car/ engine, the 63s are just power banks No doubt so ever 😁😁 its worth your money. With me i only like mercs and couple bmws like the 5 series m sports that are within my budget ranges when i switch normally. Small engines but ye thats my shallow pockets. Oh well at least i can get abit of a scense of what the higher models are like by watching videos 😁

@@NathanMannin 2nd hand car market has gone through the roof after covid due to shipping issues/ delays, significant wait time for new cars. But even before covid this beauty was selling for 55-60k, so yes it's expensive. Salaries are okay 80-100k on average but things aren't cheap, as you can see :)

Good question, I’ve always admired those. Great looking cars and that screaming 8500rpm redline from that V8 is a superb noise! However at the time when looking for my first performance car, the E92 wasn’t in my shortlist. I’ve had lots of newer BMW’s so I wasn’t keen on not only going back into an older interior, but also a E92 interior which I was never a big fan of. I’ve never driven an E92 M3, but I’ve heard they’re sharper to drive! But also less comfortable. Then you have the power where you really need extract from revving it out in the higher rpm bands which isn’t the best for daily scenarios whereas the C63 has loads of low down torque. Personally for me I think I made the best choice, better performance, looks, comfort, pan sunroof and also cheaper to buy with equivalent mileage. Sorry for the essay but that’s just my thoughts :D

@@captainjacksparrow1 you’re absolutely right, you definitely can’t go wrong with either! I can’t comment on reliability for the M3 as I don’t know enough about them. However in the running costs video I made, Ive only cams across one fault which wasn’t an expensive fix. One of the main problems with the C63 was the head bolt issue which was with the pre facelift C63’s. Generally speaking though as long as you maintain the C63 well you shouldn’t get too many problems. For a more driver orientated experience which is more driver focused, then perhaps the M3 is more for you. Or if you want more of comfortable cruiser with more power and a better soundtrack then I would choose the C63. I think for the most part the only thing the M3 would trump the C63 in, is the handling and driver engagement. But if that isn’t important to you, then get the C63. It’s brilliant at nearly everything and has a fantastic character which always fills you with joy, and gets you to make excuses to drive it! Or you could just watch some videos on them or test drive both, but that’s just my opinion!

Has got the xenon lights and nicer sound system, plus reversing camera and the not hugely useful speed limit sign detector on it ;) I notice that sometimes the gear changes can be rough, esp. if you're in manual mode and downshift to high rpm, plus release of callipers can be clunky sounding, possibly need to get looked at but hey. Most useful feature I find for day-to-day driving is the 'hold', tap brake again after stopping and 'HOLD' appears in cluster, and brake is held (and brake light shown). Accelerate or tap again to release - SUPER useful, never need to keep your foot on brake again! Also love the mechanical pano roof. Not sure if all c63's have them. Things I regret - not getting perf pack, lack of LSD is a regret, also lack of adaptive cruise...
At the moment I think I’m on 38k Miles, yours has 23k? That’s super low! Sounds like you’ve got a monster spec though ;) I never knew that about the brake, so I’ll have to try that out, thanks! Pan roof is amazing, I think the saloon and estate have a smaller letterbox style sunroof if I’m correct. Performance pack is great for me, more for the aesthetics it brings to the C63. But you could easily paint your own callipers or get some professional to do it, buy a carbon spoiler, retrim your steering wheel to half alcantara and upgrade your brakes. Then you’ve mainly got the package after that, just missing on the stronger engine internals and grey manifold cover which isn’t that important. Not sure if I’m missing out on the LSD as I’ve never had one and I’m not ballsy enough to push it to its edge :D But you can get a quaife one fitted at some garages which have high praise, just have to fork out £1500 for one.
@@multiblade04 I've heard it's to do with caliper positioning or perhaps them being incorrectly torqued. Basically need to find a good garage I think. Is something I'm going to get looked at at some point!
@@LorenzoStoakes for me it only happens when I’m braking at near 0 kmh speed. For example at a red light. Very slight noise that only occurs sometimes and only with light braking at slow speeds. I lubed the pads and outside of caliber no effect. Do I need to buy new calipers?...
I wish they were! My camera doesn’t pick it up but there is some wear on the drivers side bolster and the back rest. It’s not too bad but far from perfect. Other than that they look brilliant and are super comfy as well as supportive!

But you could easily paint your own callipers or get some professional to do it, buy a carbon spoiler, retrim your steering wheel to half alcantara and upgrade your brakes. Then you’ve mainly got the package after that, just missing on the stronger engine internals and grey manifold cover which isn’t that important.
Not sure if I’m missing out on the LSD as I’ve never had one and I’m not ballsy enough to push it to its edge :D But you can get a quaife one fitted at some garages which have high praise, just have to fork out £1500 for one.

@@multiblade04 I've heard it's to do with caliper positioning or perhaps them being incorrectly torqued. Basically need to find a good garage I think. Is something I'm going to get looked at at some point!
@@LorenzoStoakes for me it only happens when I’m braking at near 0 kmh speed. For example at a red light. Very slight noise that only occurs sometimes and only with light braking at slow speeds.
I lubed the pads and outside of caliber no effect. Do I need to buy new calipers?...
the seats look like new....are they refurbished? cause leather cracks so much
I wish they were! My camera doesn’t pick it up but there is some wear on the drivers side bolster and the back rest. It’s not too bad but far from perfect. Other than that they look brilliant and are super comfy as well as supportive!
