Easy to follow, but the mirror app appears to be a paid subscription app. Is there a free mirror app out there?
I do not see it on mine. My tv is from 2013 so is there another way? I recall back then having an android & it working.
My router has a regular and 5g options and I also use an wi fi extender my question is do the tv and iPad must be connected to the exact same channel /device .

Thanks for the video. Any idea on how to get the Samsung tv to pop up on the iPad? Both the ipad and Samsung tv are connected to the same Wi-Fi. However, when trying to connect to the screen share from the iPad, the Samsung tv does not pop. Thanks for any help
I dont have General on my Samsung tv in the settings nor do I have anything that says Airplay
I just got a Samsung UHD 6 SERIES Smart TV last wk., I have a Samsung tab A 10.1" tablet. Can I mirror it the same way as the iPad? If not, can you do a vid on the tab A?
I am not sure how it works with Samsung tablets. The way I show in the video is Airplay which is apples software. I will look into the Samsung way and make a video on it.

I have a newer model Samsung TV with the air play option, but I have an older IPAD2 with the 30 pin connector on it. It is possible to hook my older IPAD2 up to newer Samsung TV with air play? The older IPAD doesn't have the dropdown menu for selecting mirroring like the new IPAD2 unit.

My iPad just keeps searching after I hit the mirroring button. It’s on the same network as the tv and I restarted the iPad and the same thing happened. Any suggestions?

When I first installed my Samsung TV, I used the remote control to set it up. Did you do the same?
Anyways, my solution is this -> I RE-SET the samsung TV, putting it under manufacture reset (Settings> General > RESET). Once the TV asks me to set up with tv remote control or with iPhone, I choose to SET UP the tv with iPhone by downloading the SMART THINGS APP made for SAMSUNG TV. It takes a few seconds after downloading App that tv recognizes iPhone and I can then continue and finish with set-up. Once I set up the tv this way (NOT with the remote control), samsung tv recognizes my iPhone and other iPhones for Air play (screen mirroring).
To set up Air Play screen mirroring for first time after setting up tv you must go to Settings > General > Apple AirPlay Settings.

Same here. Samsung “smart” TV. In Settings>General I only see these options: Network, System Manager, External Device Manager, Eco Solution, Accessibility, Smart Features, Start Setup. No “Airplay Setting” listed. Software has been updated, so it’s not that.

I’m having trouble with this. I can see the iPad screen on the tv, but it’s a split screen and the video app I’m trying to play I can hear but not see. The video starts playing in the background, but the iPad screen remains on the tv. Help!

It's only on Samsung QLED 4k 2018 models and 2019 and up 4k and 8k. Unless I missed something, he didn't mention.

Hi. Idk if the old version of the TV has the option of SETTING UP THE TV WITH SMART THINGS APP rather than the tv control, but this is what helped me. If you have this option then maybe it helps you too. But if your tv does not support AirPlay then probably not.
