@@michaelking7391 The opportunity cost of which is that you played Overseer, instead of Ballista, or Hangarback, or Ravager, *gaining nothing when it dies*, a problem which these other cards don't have. Then, in order to actually use the Overseer ability you need to remove a potential attacker. It IS too slow for Modern. Disagreeing doesn't change it.
I also like the idea of having 1x Syr Ginger. Exiling it with cauldron gives your dudes (2), Tap, Sacrifice gain life = to power, good answer to wrenn & 6, and also benefits from artifact sac
it's cards like creeping corrosion and stoney silence and pithing needle. kataki wars wage in modern? steelbane hydra? aberrant? i build a legit anti artifact green white deck a while back, but i dont know if the cards are in modern even if some of them are, that would help. one of my least favorite decks to play against was affinity. back in the day when i played that deck and an vedalkin shackles deck dominated tournaments amongst our friend group. sometimes i would get stomped by green red land destruction pyroclasm wildfire deck but i didn't mind as much cause it was less common. but my least favorite, disciple of the vault skull clamp, cranial plating, arcbound ravanger, and some how alot of card draw and damage and alot of creatures in play it would happen ultra early in the match. i also put some healing type of creatures in the deck like loxodon hierarch and obstinate baloth, healer of the glade to kind of cope with the harass from the disciple of the vault maybe even blast zone to try to remove him. oracle healer could also help out and heal all the life i would lose ahead of time from playing a creeping corrosion. i liked aura shards but for facing affinity it was a bit too clunky.
Just try the hardened scale deck without the cauldron At fnm. 4-0 with it. Felt really good and resiliant. It s just hard in paper to count and not forget a trigger sometimes. I was also impressed by the automaton
When they played the Orcish Bowmasters, I had to stop the video to look up the legality of that card. I was under the impression that Tales of Middle Earth was a Commander only set. (I live somewhere, where I don't have a FLGS and I don't get to play tournaments.) I guess I have some more cards to look at now. SMH
Use Walking Ballista ability to ping the Undying creatures, then when the Undying trigger is on the stack, exile it from the graveyard with Cauldron and grow your creature again. You can do this once per turn but it wipes their board and there is no chance of doing a combo kill.
I think Cauldron is a very overrated card that fits easily into Hardened scales, and not really anywhere else. I've seen it played in Yawgmoth lists and it's great when it works, but beyond useless when you're not in a strong position. It doesn't improve Yawgmoth's bad matchups, and the good matchups were already good anyway.

So many Cauldron decks are being designed. Which one should I try next?
Bomberman in Legacy !
I've been experimenting with devoted druid combo with the cauldron - it's very fun!
It probably works well with the fungus deck
Grist combo
Why the red lands here
I played hardened scales affinity back before opal was banned. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing this deck pop off again!
When I still played paper MtG I used to run GW Heliod / Walking Balista / Spikefeeder.
I might be able to work in some of these cards.
Check out aspiring spike he made your deck with cauldron
7:28 why cast the ozolith before the automaton? Why lose an extra counter and an extra attack?
Even good players make misplays
Could have been fatal pushed, even with ward
Day 28 of Asking Harry to COOK Modern with a Fungus/Saproling deck
I feel like Harry is more of a Meta reporter than a brewer
Lol he only plays stuff that wins tournaments
Sprout swarm+jeskai ascendancy?
The synergy of making the +1/+1 counters hyper-relevant can't be understated in how well the soul cauldron slots into this deck above other decks
Im surprised there are no copies of steel overseer in this deck
Seems like an INSANE card to put in the cauldron
Steel Overseer is slowwwwwww
Problem is that steel overseer is a little too slow for modern
and a 1/1
@@TiredOfHumans cool. So it dies, ends up in the yard, and now that its under soul cauldron, all of my creatures are now steel overseer.

At least the cauldron ain’t cauldron familiar
Its a really cool deck imo! Watched your stream, it was a blast
"creatures modularly gaining the abilities of other creatures? That's definitely not a fucking recurring design nightmare lesson we refuse to learn"
Thoughts on one of vector asp? Searchable with urza saga and gives redundancy for infect kills.

Another great video. What episode are we on in the Midweek Metagame? Need to catch up on all the newest new
I'm totally enamored with Cauldron. Currently working on porting a Bomberman list from Legacy into Modern using Cauldron.

good showing of the interactions

This explains why my soul cauldron is worth 40 euros now
deja vu a mythic from a new set takes over modern weird
did you actually win the first showcase though?
Hey hey hey!!! Love your videos but I don't like reviewing your matches! Jusy like live gameplay! Also would love to see controll again! Your amazing!
could this shell with soul lands/eye of ugin and other upgrades work in legacy?
more opportunities for infinite combos as secondary plans using the cauldron, too
Hardened Scales is not fast enough for legacy, and not resilient enough. Play 8-cast if you want the artifact deck.
Revived? Scales been alive.
Youre gonna have to explain how the demo game at the beginning is an "auto win" for you.

@JohnFromAccounting ok but they can just play removal and attack you as normal. harldy an "auto win"
Yawgmoth doesn't play removal main besides grist.
enjoyed the video, but prefer the more edited content over speaking during gameplay. Still, keep up the great content!
Dude the yawgmoth deck is equally disgusting. Cauldron @ grist is sick
ho boy cauldron is looking busted
I am pretty 50/50 on the webcam. :)
On god mtgo needs an update it hurts my entire being to look at it
Can we see izet scam
OMFG YOU GOT ARCHIVIST
