this movie made me cry. It is so good, it is in my top 10 favorites. Watched it several times and would recommend it to all to inspire good people to do what is right in trying times. It is historically accurate and the actors are superb. The commercial does not do it justice and it deserves more recognition than this!
This is the best Nicholas Nickleby of them all hands down ! I’ve watched it numerous times. IT IS SO GOOD ! I love Smike. Nobody could play this part better than Jamie Bell. All of the actors are brilliant. It is a must watch.
Ok I usually am told by my mother that Dickens story’s are dark, but this one seems to take the cake in what she sees as the darkest despite the happy ending. I’m already up to chapter 6 and I’m enjoying it so far.
Doug McGrath has died. This is 1 of my favourite movies, because of him & his wonderful cast. When I saw it I had to see it again, it seemed like it was talking to me. It got me to read Dickens for my 1st & only time (all 900 pages, in paperback!), but it turned out the dialogue I loved was director McGrath's. Much of it is on IMDb, must read it again now. Being strong is exhausting.
A touching movie I just watched on Showtime. I wAs bullied as a child and this touched me, THERE IS NOTHING WORSE THEN BULLIES! SMASH YOUR METAL LUNCHBOX OVER THEIR BLOODY HEADS!---- I DID!
Such a great actor. He’s says my favorite line in any movie -- one word. “Nothing”. When asked “how much would you pay for ransom”? “Nothing” and the way he says it. Brilliant. ( it’s from the movie “All the Money in the World”)

One of the best movies, by one of the best authors, with the best actors of the 20th & 21st centuries, ever! Brilliance can't get much better! 👍😊
Wonderful Christmas treat. Brilliant acting by all the cast 👏

You are speaking my language. He deserved a bafta for that.
Just watched this on Tubi yesterday. Great movie.
This movie is one of the ones, that made my miserable life a bit better, by knowing the importance of being strong and good, and how dang hard it is.
You're not alone in this world.
This World May be Broken. But We don't have to be.
Have you seen The Best Years of Our Lives?
Such a great interpretation of the classic! We love this movie.
They all look so young!

@Brian: 7 yrs later, I’m sorry you went through that.
I cry of this movie
Wspaniały film, pokazuje że dobro ma ogromną siłę oraz to że Bóg nigdy nie zostawia nas w trudnych momentach naszego życia... 👍
Time for a re-watch.
RIP Christopher Plummer.

Smike :-(
Oh God I just love Smike. Jamie Bell gave such an incredible performance. This is the best movie version of the book that I have seen - in my opinion.
