Yes I have Fung Bros done a lot of videos on New York so you should check out their videos also I been to New York once but did not have time to check it out
@@HereBeBarr You are too modest. You know as much if not more about good cheap foods in NYC. Thanks for featuring Actionkid on your channel. You and AK make almost a nice a couple as you and Adriana! LOL. Enjoy your new apartment and neighborhood.

The part with the peanut noodles took me out, the hand just coming out of nowhere 😂😂😂 this was such great content, also you and Actionkid have a great vibe filming together 🤝
If you're in the Sunset Park neighbourhood I really recommend checking out Industry City near the waterfront. There's a really good Japanese food hall there with lots of tasty options.
I follow both Here Be Barr and Action Kid. I love Chinatowns wherever they are! I am vegan so would like a vegan food tour sometime. No MSG! Thanks for teaming up for this! Enjoyed it so much!
It's nice to see the hidden places in New York City for food. I'd say the food that looked good to me was the noodles in the peanut sauce and the barbecue pork. I'm looking forward to part 2. Cheers!
I am so excited to see this video!!! I've been waiting for a Chinatown moment. Thank you for doing this! You know you are eating all day long for under $15 a person. Amazing 🤣♥️
My husband, two friends, and I had never been to Brooklyn's Chinatown and just spent the past three hours hitting everyplace on your 2-part list of places to go. Thanks so much for your suggestions - we enjoyed them all!
You and AK's in-person Chinese restaurant reviews are a really good Noodle mix. Concise and well presented. I see the likes of Siskel and Ebert reviews in your future collaborations.
Thanks for another great neighborhood video with the Action Kid. I've been thru there and was very anxious to stop and get something to eat. But parking around there is pretty difficult. Maybe in the winter time.
In the good old days, a magazine left unnamed would list cheap eats in NYC and surrounding areas. You are continuing a great tradition. Keep it up and thank you.
Awesome recommendations! That area is such a hidden gem. The tofu pudding is actually a breakfast meal in the Philippines. Depending on how you look at it, you sort of did it in the right order. 😉
What a great series! You and ActionKid are my favourite UA-camrs! ( I also subscribe to Sarah Funk, Jennifer O'Brien and What a Shame Mary Jane). Great to see you collaborating. Brooklyn Chinatown looks so interesting!
Gotta give credit where credit's due, I have an NYC trip coming up and I remembered you did this video so searched your channel for this and part 2, made my list and then clicked out of the video.... then I thought thats not fair he did all that work I gotta at least give some credit so I came back to leave this comment. Great stuff man! Lucky Veg and Kai Feng Fu are what I'm looking most forward to!
Love Sunset Park but I want to clarify, that it was not abandoned from the 1960's. It became a Puerto Rican neighborhood, and later other Latin American ethnicities moved in and there is still a big Latin neighborhood.
Jon, I visited Brooklyn Chinatown for the first time on my last visit to the Big Apple 🍎 back in September 2019, I absolutely loved it, very much off the tourist trail and better for it. Lots of gems to be discovered not just in food, but other oriental products, a must visit for at least half a day.
I recently moved near this neighborhood and my job requires me to frequently visit this neighborhood so this video is perfect ! Can’t wait to try some of these places

Glad to see you made this video as many people fail to visit or even know about Brooklyn Chinatown. It’s may be the smallest out of the three but it’s my personal favorite. I got here like 3-4 times a week. I work in flushing queens Chinatown too. And spend a lot of time around Manhattan Chinatown but Brooklyn is easier to get around. The 2nd spot you went to has an equivalent in flushing two I didn’t even know until I realized the flavors were so similar and a worker recognized me and told me that. You should have gotten the honey roast duck though. That’s best thing on there menu. 👌🏾
Really appreciated these suggestions, I'm familiar with 8th ave, but since I'm in Queens I always tend to go to Flushing. I went to 3 of the places you suggested this morning, Kai feng fu dumpling house, Ba xuyen, and Xinfa bakery. The bahn mi, was ok, I'm partial to Joju in Elmhurst. The dumplings were really good though. But the portuguese egg tart was the best I've had EVER! I got them when they just came out the of the oven ...Yummmmmmmm☺️☺️☺️ Thanks again for the great suggestion, I'll be trying your Brighton suggestions soon!
Fun fact: And Flushing Chinatown started in 1970 with Mandarin speaking Taiwanese immigrants who decided not to go to Manhattan Chinatown due to language barrier (Cantonese). Great to see 1 of 3 Brooklyn Chinatown! While I still think there are 3 in the city one can say food wise there more - like 9 according to this article. But most Brooklyn natives do. In college id go with friends to go for karaoke on 9th Ave and we'd get tacos on 5th Ave at like 2 in the morning
Sunset Park is a gorgeous place. The southern chinese community along 8th ave is so vibrant, yet of the 3 major chinatowns, I have experienced this one the least. One day soon, I would kill to try those spots, especially the peanut noodle place as to my knowledge Shu Jiao Fu Zhou has shut down
@@grahamsmith6210 Some claim there are 9. At this point, I think there are at least 6 solid ones. Manhattan's Chinatown, Flushing, Elmhurst, Sunset Park, Sheepshead Bay and Bensonhurst
