Hi George, love your page! i have a 8 month old griff i’ve been training with guidance from training videos like yours, NAVHDA, etc. how can i get my pup to stop chomping down so hard on birds and soften his grip? he loves to munch and chomp down on them. when it’s a small quail for example it’s basically mangled after he mouth is on it. is this a puppy thing? is it just excitement? how can i soften his grip? would frozen bird retrieves be helpful? thank you for your help and advice!

you say until a full season, but what if they are older than a year for their first season? like born later summer.
