Junkers Ju 252 V4

Die Ju 252 war unter anderem als Nachfolger der Ju 52 gedacht und hatte mit den drei Junkers JUMO 211-Motoren eine wesentlich höhe Leistung als ihre Vorgängerin.
Trotz sehr guter Flugeigenschaften und Flugleistungen kamen nur wenige Ju 252 zur Auslieferung.
Einmal benötigte man die JUMO 211-Triebwerke vorrangig in Kampfflugzeugen und dann war die Ju 252 in Ganzmetallbauweise gefertigt.
Auch das wurde für Kampfflugzeuge dringender benötigt.
So wurde schließlich aus der Ju 252 die Ju 352 wo viel Holz zu deren Bau verwendet wurde.
Eine Ju 352 erlangte im April 1945 traurige Berühmheit, als sie mit Personen und Fracht aus der Reichskanzlei auf dem Flug von Berlin nach München beim Tiefflug einige Baumwipfel streifte, abstürzte und völlig ausbrannte.
Alle Insassen kamen dabei ums Leben.
Die Ju 252 wäre in dieser Situation wohl widerstandfähiger gewesen.....

That's not true. Many have been developed: Focke Wulf FW 238H, FW 261; Heinkel He 177, 274 and 277; Junkers Ju 488, Ju 287 Jetbomber, Ju EF 131 Jetbomber, (later flown in Russia) and Ju/EF 132 Jetbomber. (The EF 132, developed in 1944, 6 jet engines Jumo 012, range 4000 km, bomb load 4 to 16 tons, was the basis for the Russians for their M 4 "Bison" and Tupolev Tu 16) ; Messerschmitt Me 264.
But there was a lack of resources for production.
The Ju 252 was also not built in series due to a lack of aluminium.

I am afraid you are wrong. The war did not last long enough, but the german prototypes were ready ; and they were very innovative...
Even Japan had a kind of B-29...

They had multiple projects with 3 noticeable ones directly titled " the America bomber program" for the obvious reason. Sole reason none came to fruition is that A. None were produced before Hit man started the war and B. The 24/7 bombing campaign from the Allied Forces completely decimated their infrastructure from fuel supply to the literal factories as these were being produced. Even the 252 is technically a mid/ late war product.

The defensive fighter war took precedence over transports as the war progressed.
Even then Hitler, always offensive-minded, let production of bombers and transports, etc., continue too long. This same policy caused major delay/damage to the Reich's air defense by insisting on converting various air superiority fighters (e.g. Me-262) to fighter-bomber capability.
Hitler's no retreat policy led to multiple multiple surrounded German troop pockets. Then Ju-52 and other transport types were called into service to try to supply the pockets, resulting in horrendous losses.
