Okay Okay! Now do you all think I would actually cut a perfect $1000 monitor in half? 😂 (it was beyond broken) It's actually on sale on Amazon right now www.stinkincozy.com/products
Wow, this guy went from 5k subs to 140 so fast, proud of you man. Keep up the great work, u prob remember me from comments but l just reacently gave my channel a reset.
Such funny timing as I just bought this same monitor on Saturday from Best Buy. Was deciding between the GN850 and the similar Dell S2721DGF. Went with the LG as they both use the same panel but the Dell is $50 more. Also helped that I could get the LG in store as opposed to ordering and shipping to my house. May I ask what color settings you are using ? Mine looks great but I'm always curious to try someone else's settings
I couldn't get the arctis 7x cause it isn't in stock here in Canada but I got the arctis 7p off of Amazon, it came today and I adjusted the EQ settings to exactly as u have them on your 7x and when the music played when you were cutting the monitor in half it sounded so stinkin loud LOL it made be so shocked how loud it was. The headset is really good and stinkin cozy. I'm new here but I've been enjoying your videos alot these past couple days after when I saw your arctis 7x/7p review, thanks for the great content Techne.
I bought the 34GN8850 less than a week ago. it's buttery smooth, love it to pair with cyberpunk. My GPU was suffer when I was using 4k, now it is much better experience.
Thanks for the very informative video!! I'm a flight simmer and I've been looking for a new monitor!! I don't have a very strong system; Intel i7-6700 @3.40Ghz, 32 gb of ram and a GTX-1060. I've been looking at 4K monitors, because many of the aircraft come in 4K. What would you recommend? Also looking to upgrade in the future. Thanks
I actually just bought the Amazon Version LG 27GN83A-B and yes this is a very good Monitor. Son Loves it. Perfect Size for 1440P. And works great with Nvidia GPU's as well..
The GL83A is not exclusive to Amazon and is a similar yet different monitor. It covers the SRGB color pallet instead of the wider pallet of the LG 27GL850 and 27 GN850
yeah I got the omen before this one as well (it actually used this same LG panel) but the under glow RGB went out the first week, so I returned it and got this
Techne is the type of guy that leaves an amazingly detailed review on an item he purchases after he gets to use it a bit, but nobody reads it because it's too long!
can i have your opinion on DELL s2716dg? i got one since 2 yrs and i wonder if this LG is better. My Dell have a little lack of ''clear color or clarity'
My man, can't wait you to try the Audeze Penrose X headset. Puts ALL other wireless (and almost all wired) headsets to SHAME in terms of audio quality. I had to return my kaira because they sounded like dog shite compared. The only issue is the microphone quality is pretty subpar and it picks up breathing all the time. I'm wondering how it would sound with the kaira pro microphone attached to it, you got both so if you check out the Penrose X give it a shot please!
Great video as always dude, but one thing i didnt get first u said "for me the sweet spot for 1440 p is 32 inch" and after that u said 32 is to big to play in so yeah thats sounds a bit wierd xD?
That's funny, I found this channel years ago looking for reviews of that old 32" monitor. For years a 27", IPS, 144hz, 2k, decent stand, name brand... like this monitor was $600+. Prices are finally reasonable.
Great monitor, but I plan to go get the Dell S2721DGF. It is mostly the same as the LG monitor (unless you want to get into the nitty-gritty). It uses the same LG Nano IPS panels, but the stark difference is in the color accuracy. The Dell monitor is still a gaming monitor, but the color is more accurate. It costs the same amount too.
Thanks for this Techne! Finally, a video covering a more affordable and still great monitor. Enough with the sponsored and more expensive GN950 videos! You have to have a quite expensive setup to even use that in full performance too!
By the way this is the usb hub-less variant, mine has that as well a different adaptor directly connected to the power plug, but without the redesigned logo at the back and more angular arm and stand. And I can only get 100hz through HDMI, read that was a common thing in these monitors...
you should review the new xiaomi gaming monitor. Its 34 inch 144hz quad hd curved and only $350 from what ive heard but when I looked it up it was 500 which still is a crazy price for such a monitor
I love your reviews and am in the market for a monitor I have ordered the Alienware 2721D have you seen this monitor I’d love a review if you can get one
@@TheTechne can you say what it is dude ? You do a great job. It was thanks to you why I got the steel series 7x.. absolutely brilliant and of course they’re stinking cozy 👊🏼😜
Just letting you know your amazon link goes to the GL version not GN. Amazon doesn't have the GN to sell and there is a difference between two since the GN has a different panel (nano ips)
I had this monitor but returned it because I wanted a cheaper monitor. I loved the monitor it had great picture quality and fantastic FPS and response time. I would recommend if you want one of the best monitors for the price.
At this price I would consider the s2721DGF. Especially if you also play fast paced games, but it’s colors probably aren’t better out of the box. This LG is awesome, but I assume that Dell has better build quality. I had this monitor for a few weeks. It came with a cluster of dead pixels and had large obvious IPS glow. None of that came with my dell. My dell was also way better for desk space.
exact same reason I sold my Alienware AW3420DW. Too much real estate in a 34" ultrawide. Now it's nearly impossible to decide between this one and the MSI Optix QD...
I'm in the market right now for a monitor and my main concern is that this monitor only goes up to 120hz (or 100 I can't remember) at 1440p res. Is it wishful thinking to get a budget monitor that can maintain 144 hz at 1440p?
