Whowww.. Akiko Thompson . The greatest female swimmer of all times for the Phils .. Eric Buhain for male ... Tnxs Akiko.. tnxs Bernadette for featuring her. Hail to Akiko! 👍👏👏👏👊💐❤️
I so love Akiko Thompson. I grew up watching her. Her soft spoken voice emanates her kindness and her beauty never fades inside and out! Such an inspiration! Merci beaucoup, Akiko! Bravo!🎉🎉🎉
I used to wonder where she is and what happen to her being an idolized olympian but she's not forgotten, its nice to see her again.. such an inspiring person..
This is beautiful. I hope we also celebrate the first generation of Filipino Olympians the same way we do for the new batch. They deserve the respect and support as they paved the way for these athletes and the generation to come. Mabuhay ang mga atletang Pinoy!!!
My all time fave Filipino (yeah Naturalized sya) pinoy na pinoy at heart, Skl, as a young fan then I used to write fan mails sa kanya sa States and she would answer those. I treasured it all these years until it got lost when I moved to another place and worked overseas..More power and God bless you more, Akiko❤
You are an inspiration Idol Maam Akiko ❤a humble person, you have an awesome family God bless you Maam and your family…we are proud to be part of Special Olympics Pilipinas. Thank you so much Maam Bernadette for featuring Maam Akiko
Akiko Thomson came in as the top female Filipina swimmer during the time when Christine Jacob was also winding down her swimming career. Natuwa ako kay Akiko noon dahil siya yung unang athlete na foreigner pero nagpapalit ng citizenship para maging Filipino at maging representative sa swimming. And she stayed here!
THANK YOU AKIKO FOR YOUR SERVICE TO THE FILIPINO NATION THE HONOR AND DIGNITY YOU BROUGHT TO US THE COUNTRY WILL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL TO YOU!!! Thank you very much Bernadette for looking for this athletes that brought honor to our country!!!
Awesome and very Inspiring story, what a beautiful and God-loving family! We're proud of you Ms. Akiko Thomson, thank you for being a great sports leader & mentor to our future athletes!
Beautiful story, very inspiring. knowing her early beginnings and Filipino talaga pati ugali niya at pananalita, mga anak niya amazing and good husband. Akiko is beautiful and her story she shared even to her employees how hapoy they are thankful .
It's good to see the great Olympian Akiko Thompson and, of course, her beautiful family. Honestly, it's good to be alive in these perilous days to see and watch former athletes who gave glory and name to our country 🇵🇭. God bless Akiko's motherhood , family life, business, and God bless always.
Ms B...love this episodes...facing the reality of life despite the fame and glory...a big lesson we earned from watching it..God is in our front sit and driving and He leads our way! God Bless! More power❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰
So nice to hear Akiko’s story. I grew up during her generation and I would always see her on tv. The interview was so authentic and so pure. So nice to watch. I’m an athlete as well but not on the same level of Akiko. Her story is something I can relate to. Got teary eyed while watching her interview because her story was so real. Her sharing about what an athlete goes through mentally, psychologically, spiritually, emotionally and physically were all true. I agree that the challenge for every athlete is find joy in any sport because there are really times that it lands as work at times.
OMG!Grabe naman Words of Wisdom ni Ms. Akiko 🥺😭🥰🥰 Re replay ko ito kapag need ko ng inspiration🥰🥰🥰 Maraming salamat Ms. Akiko🥰 Goodness and Gratefulness will pave a way talaga👏🏼 Nice one Ate B🤙🏼🧡🌻
Why can't other vloggers or interviewers do this kind of content? They rather focus on what's in and what's trending, which half of it is not so worth watching. I mean, c'mon, interviewing a person who is badmouthing others and very opinionated that are senseless because it's funny? Thank goodness we have this kind of content that always brings back sense in our lives. Good job Ms Bernadette! This is such a humbling interview and very raw like you are just talking to a friend. No need for fancy studio, couch or wardrobe. 👍
Just my own two cents. I would rather watch episodes like this where you feature someone very inspirational. Wala na sanang mga politicians na I am not sure if they are inspirational. As a person in the news industry, you may not admit it, pero alam mo naman siguro kung sino ang corrupt. They should not be featured in your vlog.
You deserved 10 million subscribers because of the quality videos you post. I feel bad that there aren’t too many people who appreciate your vlog. It just shows that the public needs more education about this aspect.
She was my neighbor in Peñafrancia.. I usually saw her parking her car or dropping off something in front of her house back in the late 90’s.. I think she was surprised I was also parking near her home.. I was studying college (I stopped - but went back) in a nearby province so I rarely went home back then, almost a stranger to our own place.. Now seeing this and learning she has a special needs child is a surprise to me, as I have a younger sister who’s also special needs, whom I regularly visited in Paco.. We don’t live in Paco anymore, but there were some good memories living there..
I hope we can create a big online platforms that will air every week with different sports being showcase. In that way, it will create an awareness about the names of our athletes who competes and also the arising ones as well; furthermore, create revenues as well who wants to pledge not only the Government o Private institutions, but also the public. Filipinos are generous. They just need transparency, nowadays. Thank you, Ms. B for this episode. God bless ❤
"impacting and influencing Philippine sports quietly, because the values are so important". Wow! Only a true champion in sports and in life will say that.

Plus featuring politicians is nothing but flaunting of “ achievements “ out of funds not their own. So Ano yon🥵
