In my experience with many of their cameras over the last few years, Reolink rarely disappoints in quality, reliability and value. Their NVRs are also very good, I've had one running 24/7 with 4 cameras attached to it since early 2020. Uninterrupted surveillance 365 days a year and zero issues so far.
@@rahatrahman8664 I use an old model NVR (8 channel) with a mix of 2k and 4k Reolink cameras, most of them wired and one wireless. The NVR is the "primary" 24/7 surveillance system that captures everything and cannot be scrambled via wifi scramblers (thanks to the wired cams). For rich notifications and AI human detection, I use a variety of Eufy cameras as a parallel / backup system to the Reolink (doorbell, wired wall cams + wireless wall cams). They are not as reliable to capture EVERYTHING like the Reolink, but they are very good at detecting humans and send you a notification instantly, plus have alarms and two way audio. When you combine both systems, you have yourself a perfect home monitoring setup! 🙂
thank you so much for making these videos man. seriously. like every part of it is so good. how you do all the different tests and everything. top notch
I love these cameras. They are great budget cameras for persons that wants security ,but do not have the funds. They can fit in blind spots around the house and also serves as great backup for a POE system in the event power goes.
I've had the Argus 3 pros for a few years now and they are still running strong. Notice something weird though, one them suck at detecting motion within 25 feet like a person or car but for some reason does wonderful at detecting speeding cars 300ft away. The one thing I was though is for someone to get Reolink to include thumbnail photos with the push notifications.
Night vision and audio is top notch ! 15 fps works but they can do better... I like to see it mounted on the front of your home with cars and people coming by with solar panel and see how the battery drains with solar. over all it blows away blink newest door stop and wyzes pro fisher price camera.
Battery with Solar will not drain much. I have a 3 pro installed for 5 days now with high enough traffic without the solar panel from one full charge. Battery as of now is 71%
What is the minimum focus distance of Reolink Argus 3 Ultra? I looking for battery camera with motion sensor for bird feeder on approximately 20-30 cm distance to the camera. Does this camera will produce clear image on this short distance?
Thank you for your reviews, they are great! One question about this and the eufy cameras which are subscription free. Can you view them on a pc browser?
as a user of the Argus 3 Pros, i can see with their PIR sensor, it didn't improve much with motion going right at the camera Lol. I know PIR is made mostly for side to side movement but dang, that's been one of the big weaknesses of the argus Pro Series. Still think its a good option for those that want a battery camera with 4k.
Thanks for the review. Going to pick up a reolink and eufy to see which i like better. Eagerly awaiting your review of the new eufy e340 doorbell cam. Not sure what the difference from the s330 is other than color night vision and removable battery im guessing? Wondering if there is any hardware/software improvements.
I've always loved the quality that Reolink puts out w/ it's cameras but I just couldn't get with the app interface in the past but maybe they have improved it since a few yrs ago? It also required me to get an wifi extender where my Arlo & Eufy products didn't require that & they both had easier to use apps IMO. Nice review.
i dont know anything about technology. can someone tell me how many days 128gb will store approxiamently? I have had vandalism in my home. ALso I cant afford lights for outside, will cool or warm white christmas lights work best for lighting up the area. THank you for your time whoever answers. I appreciate it
So I installed mine today and there is no cloud support for the Ultra model, and I am consistently having an issue where I can only view a live stream when my phone is connected to cellular data. If I connect my phone to my local wifi, I get a failed connection on the stream. You would think that would actually be the opposite.
Interesting, I had the opposite way round issue. Reolink were fantastic with support to resolve issue tho. If your still stuck ill dig up the info for u or you may have been in touch with their support already.
Will reply later but think it's call Dazzer 2 and also Ultasonic . It's a device that's hand held but look around compare reviews on similar products. You have to ensure that any device has to have clear view of the dog's yard. With Dazzer if dogs on other side of fence your on works like a charm.
Hi friend, been watching your videos for a while, incredible stuff. I just recently set up a 7-camera Reolink POE system in my home and was told through a Facebook group that it was possible to add any WIFI camera to record/view on my NVR. I'm looking to add a few of these down at my chicken coop to monitor my wife's expensive silkies but curious if it would be possible to view this in the NVR/have it record to that storage? Thanks my friend!
Too much limitation of PIR no matter how much they improve image quality or smart detection features. They just cannot detect as well as wired version. I was disappointed with Argus 3 pro and returned. so I don't have nuch of expectation from Argus 3 Ultra either. Good review though, as usual!
Im having to completely reset the camera when power goes out during storms. Anyone else having an issue with the camera not being able to reconnect on its own?
Everything is nice but for me this devices missing some futures . It has a futures that I mention about when I have their pro version. I rate it 8/10 Good camera but for me no homebase equals no purchase. I need to store my recordings in some safe place not in the device. I don't want deal with wires. Simple installation .
Can you at the bit rate for the camera recording? I'm looking to replace my Ring cameras due to the low video bit rate, video quality is not good on Ring.
I will stay away from this model, motion detection is poor, from 5 times walking at the front of the camera just one notification received, won't detect cars if they approach from the front of the camera, on rainy days good luck with the lens, you need to go and clean it

I agree. Their NVR and wired IP cameras have been working reliably ever since I have been using them.
which one are you using but it doesn’t have rich notifications 😢

Agree since his reviews I've converted from Eufy
Do these cameras have continuous recording that is stored on the sd card?

Rich notifications...that is what Reolink has been missing... they even remove that option on their video doorbell... Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the setttings part. So detailed about the reolink app!!
Can it record on sd card without internet/WiFi?
Is this model fairly easy to install and can it go anywhere around a house?
thanks again for another great review. But why can't I power it with AC power adapter instead of the solar panel?
Thank you for your review

Can the camera be plugged into an outlet instead of solar
You can.

The only internet I have is my phone. Can I still use this camera, or would you recommend something else? Thank you in advance.
Try to make a review for Eufy, doorbell E340

I think with the Reolink, you can...just haven't tested it and the Eufy, you can watch the live view on their web portal.
How long does battery stay Charged before recharging?
I'm not sure and Reolink doesn't state a ball park on how long they will last. This camera used up more than usual during my testing.
To keep it short, it can't compare to Eufy 2k solo cams?

Is it worth paying a 40% premium for Ultra vs Pro version? 140$ for Ultra and 99$ for the Pro version... in Sweden.
Nah.. just get the pro one.
Reolink told me that I can add this to my wifi NVR. I cannot find any instructions for this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ever tried Hikvision cameras?4k and 8k
I haven't.
I used Hikvision outdoor cams for a few years. They are excellent cameras but can be a pain to install and manage.

They are ok... they tend to bark when they are outside and when we are near the fence...Aside from that, they are fine.
Does Reolink offer any solar panel? And does this wireless camera support 24/7 recording?
@@khadijamoya I highly doubt it supports 24x7 recording unless maybe when plugged in. The battery would need to be recharged daily otherwise.

Great review. For a battery camera, it seems to do much better than the current crop of Arlo's on the market. Arlo's new app is completely useless!
Arlo always have issues with their app..it is like Wyze, everytime they update, other issues comes up.
you cant control movement of the camera is a problem. other apps and cameras allow you to move the camera thru the app to see other angles
Looks and functions like an Arlo camera
They lost me at learning the camera only records at less than the standard 30fps.
Can you at the bit rate for the camera recording? I'm looking to replace my Ring cameras due to the low video bit rate, video quality is not good on Ring.
You will see the bitrate on screenshot of the recording properties in the first part of the video.
15 FPS is slow. These cameras should be at 24 FPS or higher.
Most advanced security cameras are at that FPS, sorry these are not meant to shoot movies 🤣.
With 24FPS ur battery life 🪦
It doesn't need subscription but has free subscription available.
REO link is the best and they don't sell your data like Ring
