Recently watched all of the Halloween movies and felt really motivated to make a video for them, especially because the absolutely amazing looking Halloween Kills is soon to hit theatres. Hope y'all enjoy this as I had a lot of fun editing it.

Wow you did an amazing job with this video! That was so epic and intense. The sound editing is phenomenal too! I’m currently taking a film class and I was wondering - how did you remove the original background soundtrack music from the various clips you used but still kept the characters’ voices? That’s something I’ve always wanted to do…I’d love to isolate their voices and get rid of the soundtrack music playing in the background. Do you know what softwares are capable of doing this? Thanks so much! 🎃🔪

The background music removal is simple. I download my movies in 5.1 audio, aka 6 audio channels. Channel 3 contains dialogue and sound effects with minimised background music. Any additional noise I remove with Adobe audition by capturing the noise print and removing it :D
@@MrGreaves Oh wow! I need to teach myself about the audio specs you mentioned because I’m a total noob when it comes to that lol, ironic since I’m a pianist! So you use Adobe Audition to remove the background/soundtrack music? Got it! Thanks! 😊
@@TheGreekPianist well kind of. As I said, the 6.1 audio basically does the job for me since channel 3 practically removes background music as it is, or at least heavily decreases its sound. I just use adobe audition to clean up if it's still prominent :P

I love how the 2018 film had a reference to Loomis. I know it wasn’t Donald himself but it was still a nice reference imo. Would be nice to see some more homages in the future for sure. Absolute legend

Adding in clips from some of the Halloween movies that don't exist in this Universe threw me off. Some of the masks they used in other sequels were so ridiculous. And now they look even more ridiculous. But besides that it was a cool little mash up.
Ah sorry, I thought it would’ve thrown off some people. I did also want to make a video strictly for the new timeline, but I included all the films here because I just watched them all and honestly really liked most of them. Was gutted to find out I loved H2 and it wasn’t in the new canon lol.

@@thatbobusguy basically the filmmakers were experimenting with 3 different types of masks for Michael and eventually when they stuck with one, they realised there was a close up shot with the wrong mask. Unfortunately, they couldn’t reshoot the scene so they decided to CGI the mask over the top of another mask 😂 god I love these films

A bit banal. It needs a building tension. Jumps into the Halloween theme too soon. But then again, I don't understand why fans work for studios for free by trying to promote their stuff.
Appreciate the criticism, I’ll work on building tension for any more slasher videos I make.
And the reason behind it is literally just because I love the movies and find editing really enjoyable. I just like to make montages or whatever you want to call them. It’s one of my best hobbies. I may not be amazing at it but I love doing it, and it’s probably the same for most editors like me. Although, don’t get me wrong, I’d love to make these videos in return for a big payment 😂😂
