  • In a world crowded by semi auto rifles and pistols, it can be a sweet pleasure to throw it back to the old school bolt action!
    Putting you in the drivers seat of a finely tuned bolt action rifle can seem intimidating but gives you maximum control over chambering. Make sure you subscribe and like before heading out and thanks for watching!

    I have a 452 in this model. Out to about 60 yards I can easily take an empty 12 gauge hull open sights , off hand. Being bolt it kinda slows the action down and makes for a long afternoon of wicked cool smiles. Takes me back to being 12 again shooting with my dad in field behind the house. I love my CZ. Great video, thank you for sharing.

    I have an old BRNO model 2, they are predecessor to the CZ 452. I can shoot 3/4” groups at 100 yards with it. It was made in 1965 and has full length barrel just like the 457 lux. All CZ/ BRNO rifles are amazing bits of kit.

    The CZ irons are very nice. My family had a CZ 452FS that is the most accurate .22 LR that I've personally ever owned or shot. CZ makes some awesome rimfire rifles.

      @@GSquaredTactical I suspect we’re into very different types of shooting disciplines. When it comes to 22 rimfire accuracy, my tire 1 benchmarks are Vudoo, Rim-X, Anschutz and Lithgow. Tier 2 is Bergara, CZ and Tikka. Tier 3 is Ruger and Savage. The Ruger Precision Rimfire (RPR) is in a totally different class than the 10/22 though - the factory 10/22’s are nice plinkers but aren’t generally capable of acceptable accuracy for NRL22 or 22PRS style shooting. Kidd makes a nice, accurate 10/22 (tuned/custom action, barrel and trigger with quality stocks or chassis) - if I’m ever in the market for a semiautomatic 22, that’d likely be very high on my list.
      Definitely enjoyed the video but just such a different paradigm for evaluating “accuracy”.

      @@nbonner75 What do you consider to be acceptable accuracy for NRL22? Neither NRL22 or PRS22 require bench rest level accuracy, so what is the generally accepted accuracy standard for entry?

      FIAF I have been on the fence about the 457 synthetic with threaded barrel for my can. What kind of accuracy are you getting ? And would you buy it again over a 457 royal in 20’ ?

    • @GSquaredTactical
      @GSquaredTactical  4 дні тому +2

      @ritesideofthefence5857 I absolutely would buy it again. In fact, it’s one of the very few rifles that I have actually ever kept. I also have the same rifle in the 600 223 love it as well. Now, as far as the synthetic over the wood, I guess it comes down to what your intended purposes are. If you are going to use it for hunting and will be having it outside for extended periods of time I would say go with the synthetic as it will not be affected by the humidity or temperatures like the wood will, but I would imagine that the accuracy would be the same. We were hitting a piece of rebar at about 85 yards consistently. It almost became comical. It’s definitely the most accurate 22 rifle I have ever owned, but I’m sure there are those that are more accurate. I just have not owned them lol. Thanks for commenting. @@ritesideofthefence5857 My 457 is very accurate, particularly with SK ammunition.I would say it matches my shooting bud's Tikka T1x in terms of accuracy.It is perhaps a little more ammo fussy than his T1x though, but only a little.It is however more reliable than his T1x in terms of both feeding and ejecting ammunition.This is hugely important as you know, the reliability I mean.I need a synthetic / all weather stock, so for me it will be the 457 Synthetic every time.I do however love the aesthetics of the 457 Royal.Hope this helps.

    I am 70 years old and have seen many guns that out shoot a 10/22. Have tried for years to find an accurate one and it's hopeless. My Marlin 60 will shoot circles around it my Marlin 39A I have a semi auto Norinco auto load that will disgrace it. I have never and I repeat never found ANYTHING that could out perform my 457 CZ Lux period. Have friends also who shoot regularly and agree with me. Years of plinking tell the truth.

    is this more accurate than the LRP? Does it have a match chamber and fluted barrel? i'm trying to figure out if its worth the extra cost to buy their lrp version.

    • @GSquaredTactical
      @GSquaredTactical  Рік тому +3

      No, no and no so I’d say if accuracy is all you are looking for for target or comp shooting the MTR or LRP would better suit you. This is a beautiful, well balanced light weight very accurate rifle for small game hunting using just the irons and at a price point you would mind if it got “brushed up” a little in the woods. They are nice, and accurate, but on what basis is it so accurate, compared to what, plus what groups, at what distance?

    • @GSquaredTactical
      @GSquaredTactical  7 місяців тому +1

      We were mostly shooting at ranges varying from 20-30 yards. So nothing too far out but I think the mitigation of recoil with the small round really amplified our view of accuracy. Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven't already!
