I've done the same thing one. I was driving my brand new truck and got rear-ended by a grandma turned around putting a pacifier in her grand babies mouth and traffic come to a stop and she hit me. She had no insurance and down on her luck! So I fixed my truck and her car. Your a good dude Tim!
that was nice of you! My friend was in a similar situation He rear ended a car and the guy he rear ended just happened to own a used car lot and he not only forgave him of the damages he also gave my friend a car because his was totaled. he still talks about that to this day and that was years ago! nice to see there are still good people out there
Tim, Bruce Wilson called you out to dyno your truck at his place to prove your horsepower. Go make him read it and weep! Also, I commend you for giving that woman a break. Even though she broke the law, you probably helped her out tremendously. You have a good soul brother.

I just had my Detroit 60 Series rebuilt a few months ago. It was doing the same thing and for 3 weeks it got worse. So i decided to have it rebuilt and it had a blown head gasket. I got a 2016 Freightliner Coronado glider kits from Fitzgerald and it had 898,000 miles on it.

You're a good man, had a similar incident with my motorcycle, just a bent fender on my bike no big deal, but I wasn't about to pour salt in in someone's wound when they are already down.
That was a kind thing to do Tim. In this day and age you never know what people are going to do, not sure if she really was distracted or if she was trying to collect insurance. Good thing you recorded it, you have got to have a forward facing camera to CYA.
I had a distracted lady in a minivan pull out into my lane of travel last year and she hit my rear duals of my flatbed totaling her car but thank goodness she was not hurt. When the OHP saw the footage the officer immediatley determined she was clearly at fault and cited her but might have gone different without the footage since we commercial drivers are always suspect first, we have to be diligent in protecting our @sses!

I second that on NEVER EVER say you are sorry at the scene of an accident. In the eyes of the court that is an admission of guilt.
Also, we all know you have a heart of gold and it’s just in your nature to help people, but if she were to wait a bit and call the cops on you for hit and run then you could be screwed. Granted you had video, but a lot of people don’t and do what you did by not calling the police.
It sucks you can’t try being a good person to help someone out, but you know where good guys finish.
You did the right thing bro. You get your blessings back. Don't listen to anybody else. It's not all about money in this world.

My 22 I was driving had a mysterious coolant loss. Was at 1 terminal twice for coolant and metal in apu oil. Shut valves off then cracked expansion then big terminal for new apu. Couldn't find loss so sent me to dealer. New injector cups. Then to main terminal and got sent to dealer and they found liners 1 and 5 were leaking through liners. I got a new trk assigned because they did a long block swap. All of this happened in 3 weeks minus 1 weekend hometime and was down 10 days😊
SAME THING I would have let go, and you have video to cover yourself if anything were to come up so no worries.

Your s good guy, I'm a truck driver as well and people have issues and problems but they need to keep that blind eye open you know, especially with kids luckily they weren't in the car but, she was just waiting to get pulled over, no tags, come on regardless of insurance or not. honestly thats the best thing to do. I forgave someone who rear ended my pickup after getting rear ended and when i got home i realized the impact had cracked my transmission housing. I ended up going through my insurance and they totaled the truck out. they even offered me their insurance but it was my first accident i didnt know what to do😭

Hey I like your channel. I think it is great that you speak the truth. I was hit by a semi truck in Springfield Illinois, on south grand. 2 weeks ago on Wednesday. I am an industrial painter from Missouri. I was in a man lift in my work containment. My man lift was hit and I was scalped by the beam on the train bridge, 0and was knocked around like a ping pong ball. I’m severely injured and my head was stapled shut. I’m not wanting any money or anything like that. I’m not offering a reward. I just know that you’re up by Springfield Illinois quite a bit and I’m just wanting to find the person who hit me and caused the sufferance on my family and myself. Thank you and keep trucking!! If you want pictures I will send them to you. Just keep trucking.

If its not leaking coolint out any where on the ground its always a head gasket and with that millage its a normal thing to have that happen

I don't know if it's the camera angle but the top of your steering wheel looks to be higher than your shoulders, forward vision must be terrible.

I live Les than ten miles from where you were crashed into ITS the law to have insurance in Illinois but people still don’t have insurance I was T boned by someone who came from a side street that they had a stop sign and no insurance if you don’t have insurance coverage DON’T drive

I don't know driver. Part of me is sick and tired of law breakers and at the same time we don't know her situation. At the end of the day, I don't know how I would have handled it but I hope I would have your compassion!! A few lights are pretty cheap. Your a good man!!
Talk about law breakers tim ran two stop signs changed lanes without signaling drove distracted with phone in hand obviously knew his truck wouldn't pass scale so avoided it. Wether or not the other driver had insurance all they have to do is tell the judge to watch video of him driving with camera distracted and they will probably win.
She should not be driving without insurance. I’ve been hit by a driver without insurwnce before and it just cost me a bunch of money and hassle. Should have called the cops. She made the choice to drive illegally. That is not acceptable.
Yeah I agree with most of the comments below and detest drivers with no insurance. I got hit on my way to work by a dwi uninsured driver a few years ago. I have to pay extra for uninsured motorists and still was out $2,000 plus the depreciation of my new car. Then my insurance went up $100 a month. She was probably messing with her new iPhone and rear-ended a semi. That just sound stupid. Rear end a semi? How do you not see that? Don't pay for her damage bud, the risk you're taking not filing a police report and the damage to your trailer is more than enough. At least its documented in a video. Also the clickbait title, you didn't crash Rooster, a dingbat inattentive driver hit your trailer.

I know I’m late to the party but I would have 100% gotten an accident report and witness statements from that accident. Even with the footage she can still make allegations against you.

I believe if you wouldn't have turned up the engine to 1,000 horsepower and left them at 450 or 500 what they came out of the factory you wouldn't have as much trouble with them when you start putting a thousand horsepower 700 to 800 horsepower you're going to run into problems

Well driving without insurance that's not legal I would have called the police and they would have get her with no insurance she would have gotten a ticket then I would have told the officer that your not going to go after her for the damages that you will pay too fixed your trailer. What if she gets in a axadent and riley hurt someone or killed someone and she is driving without insurance
