The best thing about having a large subway system in the city is that you never have to think about traffic conditions. My mind is traffic-free. The only time traffic is in my mind is when I’m on a bus.
Cool vid but they forgot the AB standard R10 R12 and R32 all very significant/important and influential subway cars (more important then the R11) still cool vid and happy 119 birthday to the subway (no fan trip to celebrate sadly)
@@Fowlware it's a channel about the nyct, lirr, mnr and and confusing shit that is still related to the nyct and more that kids are gonna watch because they love trains or whatever, what the hell do you expect?
Happy Birthday to the NYC Subway. Love it or hate it, the Subway has helped us get to our destinations over the years. I just hope the government would double the funding to improve the system. 🥲
Very nice but the R-46 debuted in 1973 not 2000. There was also the R-44 which was similar in appearance but 2 years earlier than the R-46. The R-44 was retired in 2010, however they are used on the SIR until the new 211 cars arrive by the end of 2023. If you really wanted to be comprehensive, you missed the Slant 40 (R40) model and the R42 that ran on the J and M lines. Also the R32 model which was similar to the R33 but used on the BMT lines. And of course how could you miss the R68 that arrived in 1988 along with it's counterpart the R68A. Theyre still in service on the D, B, Q and N lines.
@@BronXLimited perhaps 'debuted" was a poor choice of words as I meant date of manufacture. It's generally stamped just below the door sill plates by month/year on the 46 models.
Awesome timeline of the time periods that NYC subway stations, Casual clothing that New Yorkers wears, and The subway cars from the past, present and future. Although, the animation is looking impressive. R46 got an original Rollins is kinda neat. shame that R11 never runs of the IND Second Avenue Line during the 1940s and one car remains but others is scrapped. Thank you, MTA. Keep the Subway Legacy alive.

Nice video and it shows the 119 years of rolling stock evolution from the Composite to the R211 2023 service entry
Mta why did you not at R32 it was the best train car for me!!
Yooooo whoever made this needs a raise
Happy 119th birthday to NYC MTA subways. : )
You guys should make a longer version of this with EVERY single car.
True, they seem to have ignored many similar trains such as the other Arnines and Redbirds or the R44/62/68 and every NTT other than R211

this animation is AWESOME
Yooooo I never knew the MTA knew how to animate!
*Happy 119th Birthday 🎂🎉 NYC Subway*
cool video
POV: R142 & R143:
am i a joke to you?
You forgot the graffiti on the R11 and R33. Always important to be historically accurate!
💀
bro 💀💀
The graffiti age wasn’t happening when the cars entered service
@@BMTEnjoyer160wth you mean dude?
@@shahnoor6708 the graffiti on the New York City subway trains wasnt happening yet when the r11 and r33 entered service
That is serene :)
조용하네요 :)
It's hard to believe the IRT is 119 years old. It doesn't look a day over 118.
Beautiful
That was dope 🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊
This is dope 👌. 119 years of history on the subway. Happy Birthday. Oct 27th, 1904.
Whoever made this deserves an award 🥇
1:23 that’s a R44 mix with a R68 rollsign 😭.
Really well done. 👍
1:39 The R211 is entering the station in reverse. The taillights are on.
And here I thought I was the only one that noticed! LoL!
LETS GO😊
Happy birthday To The Subway!
2000’s should of been the R142’s tbh
Same thoughts
The R62AS R62S that came out in 1983 . R62AS 1985 .
Happy birthday MTA New York City transit 🥳🎊
A fun video!
I don’t know about the subway cars, but clearly the Sixties had the best dressed people.
It been 119 years since MTA began its first ever services
Aww this is CUTE
1:25 looks like an R46-R68 hybrid.
It is a hybrid. Looks kinda cursed imo.
@@DerrickTan74 it may look cursed but I think it could work as the fictional R56 subway car or something, idk.
It's the actual R46, but without the LCD screens
And the car number is 5240 instead of something in the 5400-6200s
Happy 119th Anniversary of the New York City Subway.
119 years of MTA!
They showed the R211T which ain't even in service yet.
Mta in ohio 💀
i like how the r46 "borrowed" thr r68/a's rollsign in place of their own rollsigns 😂
I kept seeing those R211’s but never got to go in them
What happened to the rest of the SMEEs, how come they never mentioned any of them since they are still in service as of today?
They also forgot about the R160, which is the NTT train that has been a life saver of the system since 2006. Its also my fav MTA train :(
@Alt1229_RBLXTransit you're clearly very young.

If this ststion is called "87th Street-Museum of Train Histories" Which makes trains move automatically

"I put the new Forgis on the Jeep
I trap until the bloody bottoms is underneath" in the beginning

God knows how the new subway cars in 50 years would be like.
The NYC Subway is also the LARGEST subway system in America!
And then all but one r211 set was taken out of service because of flat wheels and faulty gearboxes 💀
😂🤣

I've hope one day to become a NYC train operator
I like The redbird
Cute. The IND tile scheme came after 1904. The R33 should have been shown in the original blue livery.
Hey MTA, Don't think I'm being mean but you should really put the R211's back in service. What's the software malfunction
Woah
MTA the greatest transit system in the world 🌎
No tf its NOT, have you ever even been on any MTA bus or train?
You can’t be serious
Maybe in the states but definitely not in the world
Oh boy...
As a New Yorker, I can definitely say its not true.
I love The MTA

2 birthdays at once wooo

Still no open gangway trains in 2023.

Why didn’t they show the 80s train covered in graffiti?
