This is something why bands are interdependent members. Eloy's correct song tempo will lead Corey to breath correctly, without rushing, thus improving the strength of his voice throughout the concert. I think that alone helped this new era make them sound better straight away!
It seems that Slipknot's satisfaction with Eloy is so great that they even announced him officially, something that had never happened before with other musicians. This Brazilian will still bring us many joys in the coming years.

Ich muss erstmal sagen, starkes Video❤ Ich muss sagen ich bin Fan seit 2014, zu der Zeit kam Jay und Alessandro frisch in die Band und hab mich sofort in das .5 The Gray Chapter Album verliebt aber ich muss sagen, nachden ich die früheren Alben gehört habe war ich noch mehr verliebt! Zu WANYK und The End So Far verflog etwas meine Liebe zu der Band, vorallem in The End So Far Zeiten. Ich habe mich immer mehr im Metal verloren und Slipknot ziemlich links liegen lassen auch wenn ich sie 2020 Live gesehen hab. Letztes Jahr mit der Jay Themathik war ich ziemlich geschockt aber irgendwie auch gespannt was nun passiert, nun sieht man es ja perfekt, die Energie, die Kraft, die Performance, diese Wucht, die Brutalität habe ich so noch nie wirklich gesehen, außer vielleicht mit Joey. Ich bin dankbar dafür das Eloy nun in der Band ist und hoffentlich geht die Reise der Band wieder in die richtige Richtung denn auch so sehr ich Jay mochte, es war eine gute Entscheidung❤
I was lucky enough to see Slipknot live in Dallas a couple years ago. Absolutely blown away at how great they sounded live. They played all of the songs you wanted to hear. If they’re coming to your town, you slip a $20 out of your moms purse at night and you go see this fucking band.

Jay and Joey are important elements of the Slipknot legacy, but Eloy is in a whole different level. World class musician, could be playing with Tribal Tech right now. Whoever doesn't see that simply don't understand what they're seeing and hearing, or unfortunately in many cases, can't let go of idolizing the previous drummers and trash the new one simply cause he is replacing their beloved idol. Jay was great and Joey was amazing specially as a creative powerhouse, but Eloy is the ultimate drummer cause he is the complete package. He brings everything you wanna see from an elite drummer. Slipknot just leveled up with Eloy, whether some people like it or not, it's a fact.
Originally i thought eloys talent would be wasted in slipknot but its not .slipknot sound reborn and im excited for whats next and a new album..last two i didnt like at all .corey sounds incredible here probably since its the first live show for a while..
If you see a video of Eloy playing solo you feel the kinetic energy affect you. Think about how it feels playing live with him. These guys just found the fountain of youth :)

the difference between Eloy and other metal drummers is that he is very versatile, not limited to playing just metal and has very strong influences on Brazilian popular music and now after his time with Sepultura the tribal roots live in him and remembering that Slipknot was inspired a lot in Sepultura at the beginning of his career, so Eloy will certainly add a lot to Slipknot. I'm looking forward to the new album and I'd like to leave a warning for anyone who likes to cover Slipknot, go back to studying drums because the new songs have everything to be impossible to reproduce, Sepultura's covers love and hate Eloy...hahahah
Anyone that singed in a live band knows that CONSISTENT tempo means better vocals, period, even if the drummer is rushing or dragging, if it's a consistent beat you can sing better, of course the proper tempo it's even better, and that's Eloy, also helps that the brutality of his drumming also mark the tempo better.

Joey is always going to be undeniably the king because he wrote and plated every note of what we love. Jay expertly filled in, and wasn't the best but was amazing and I still can't believe they outed him, but if anyone has a chance to get a human metronome who can play literally anything with no problem whatsoever, then why not. I don't care what band it is, you put eloy in, and he's going to make them better in every way. He's going to drive them to play exactly like the albums. And when they have new stuff, it's going to have that creative sickness like Joey used to create. @PowerfulReactions it's like shooting fish in a barrel. You get the greatest metal drummer, I honestly believe, of all time, everything is going to sound better. Joey is always going to be undeniably the king because he wrote and plated every note of what we love. Jay expertly filled in, and wasn't the best but was amazing and I still can't believe they outed him, but if anyone has a chance to get a human metronome who can play literally anything with no problem whatsoever, then why not. I don't care what band it is, you put eloy in, and he's going to make them better in every way. He's going to drive them to play exactly like the albums. And when they have new stuff, it's going to have that creative sickness like Joey used to create. I think about Dead Memories and the tightness and depth of the drums in that song, and I can't wait to hear eloy making music like it. It's going to be awesome.
