- Stetson Baseball and Florida State Baseball played a midweek game in the 2024 College Baseball Season.

Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other UA-camrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

The Stetson first basemen made some good plays

Stenson is such a sleeper team!
Is it me or did the umpires come off as biased. I mean the check swings for Stetson never crossed the plate. Also, it should be noted that the left side of the plate was being called majority strikes for FSU pitchers and balls for Stetson pitchers.
crossing the plate is irrelevant. It did he attempt. The characteristics are intentionally vague and just comes down to the opinion of the ump. I think the stetson guy went based on his hands. He fired the hands which are the last part of the swing. He went.
Not how that works.
The bat crossing the plate is irrelevant during a check swing. The actual rule is if you attempt to swing, it’s a strike. For whatever reason, umpires have given the batters an opportunity to hold back.
It has more to do with your hands than the location of the bat.

That was actually entertaining as far as 1-0 games go! Great defensive plays here n there, and honestly those first four innings with the ball coming from the sun into shadow is always tough. Still expect more offense in a college game especially but still it happens haha 😁
