I had tears in my eyes watching him do things for his self. Cole you are getting stronger and stronger. Please keep pushing him sweetie. God will continue bless you

Charisma is such an angel 😇 💓 She is so patient with Cole and always make him feel like he is not disabled but that he can do most of the things on his own. This is awesome 👌
An able body person does not think twice when getting into bed. This video makes me even more grateful for the littlest thing like lifting my legs to get into bed or just simply taking my clothes off. Cole you are doing awesome for trying to be more independent. Charisma your hair grew so much, your curls be poppin girl Btw I’m glad to report it’s not cold anymore here in South Fl lol
The day I heard Call say his core muscles do not function thats when I realised that every part of our body has a purpose. I never ever thought about my 'core' muscles until then 😭* Cole
Yes, I get in and out of bed several times a day on my days off (I nap and lay down A LOT...I have CFS). I do so without even thinking, straight just jump in and jump out to my leisure, it’s not something I could ever imagine putting such thought into. Honestly, I rate these guys and how they have adapted to the adversities, good folks man
I am so proud of how they have developed. Charisma is really good for Cole and Cole is really good for Charisma. Cole has really come a long way. He really has the perfect wife.
I'm amazed at how far Cole has come to assist himself in his evening routine. This truly allows Charisma some her time but she's always nearby. What a team!
Wow. Cole is crazy strong considering what muscles he's actually able to use! That is no easy task moving a 6 ft 3 body into a bed w shoulders and biceps only! Impressive

CheezeTotz Nd soda are you kidding? This video literally shows him doing a huge amount of his self care, and talks about how much more independent he has become. He has said himself, “every quad is different”...how can you watch someone else’s video and judge that THIS person is not doing what he “could be doing” or that he should do more. That is an extremely judgemental statement to make and not kind at all.
It’s so nice seeing charisma be so patient with cole. Some ppl might say “why not just do it for him he’s seems tired or looks exhausted” “it’ll be faster if she just does it” trust me my family does that to me and sometimes that can get frustrating because I can do it I just take a little longer or sometimes a lot longer. It gives cole more independence
Yeah, I could see myself being one of those, “Let me just do it for you”. But, I do get that in the long run, it’s much better for him to do as much stuff himself as possible. It just is hard to watch someone you love struggle and your instinct is to want to make life as easy as you can for them.
All that hard work to get in bed which only takes an able-bodied person less than one second, gives me such a deep appreciation for how hard Cole works to maintain his independence. He must give so much hope to others just like him. Amazing.

Cole you are doing great very proud of you. Charisma you are so fit and beautiful and a loving wife. You deserve each other 100%!
Hello Cole and Charisma. I just want to say that I really enjoy your videos and I get so much warmth and love and joy from the two of you. So I wanted to tell you guys something. I'm disabled and have a service dog he's been with me for 12 years. he was trained for a total of 2 years in the beginning so he is retiring soon. Cole you were working so hard. I was so amazed at your determination to get yourself in the bed on the bed taking your clothes off your shoes off socks off it took so much strength and perseverance. However a service dog that is trained properly can take your shoes off, can pull easily pull your socks right off your feet too. many things that you're probably not even thinking of right now I don't know. But that's why Sophie is there to assist you to make your life easier to be your best pal and devoted caregiver. Maybe you want to do it all yourself so I don't know. Maybe for you it's super important and that's cool too. I'm just saying my service dog is so awesome I'm so blessed to have been given this dog to go by the side of me and walk through life helping me. You guys have a great night or day whenever you read this if you read this. Merry Christmas and I'll see you in your next video
I understand how difficult it must be doing the simplest things we take for granted. I love how persistent, strong and patient he is and Charisma is too as a partner. Don't give up!!!! I LOVE y'all
Water 💦 is good for everyone, I read about drinking water and how healthy it is for night time, it helps with heart attack prevention a lot of good things found with water 💦 and drinking at night 🤗
I am very proud of you Cole. It is important that you do as much as you can by yourself. Thank you Charisma for encouraging his independence. My husband had a spinal cord injury about 4 years ago. We are both learning. I am proud of both of you.❤
Starting prenatals is so exciting, Charisma! I remember when I started a couple years ago before we got pregnant. :) I loved seeing the "normal" stuff like tooth brushing and letting the dog out. It isn't boring at all. :) It's so similar our routine with our cats at night. They usually lead us to bed too. XD
Cole & Charisma - what a team! Cole you are getting stronger and your arms are definitely more defined. Charisma, I know it was hard to watch Cole struggle with trying to figure out "how" by himself, but look at him now - he is doing it! Thank you both for always for being so transparent.
Love watching cole'e growth how independent he has become. I pray for cole to continue getting stronger every day, motivating those with the same disability and even us to never give up. May God continue to bless you all. Charisma you are a true blessing and God knew exactly what he was doing when he placed Cole in the center you work at.
Hi Cole&Charisma, I have a suggestion. Cole said,”my handy dandy metal reacher can be kind of rough on my hand if I use it for awhile.” I was thinking if you could cover it with something it won’t be rough on your hand. For example if you go to a gym all equipments are made of metal but somehow they cover some area of them in order to be used for hrs without getting hurt.( places which your legs, feet ,hands or even whole your body in contact ).
Fantastic! Married life really suits you two. You're growing in ways that have to make Cole's mom in particular, and dad, etc., SO proud and relieved -- for both of you in different ways. Only they know. I'd love to hear what they think about this video, or your progress independently, yet interdependently. Hope that made sense.

I thank God my brother was a nurse and taught me how to help him in many ways. Cole and Charissa, you are a joy to watch. May God bless each of you. Happy Holidays!!!!!!! from Itta Bena, MS
Loving the independence Cole! You are doing a fantastic job. I love how Charisma encouraged Cole to find his independence. I think you guys are awesome.
Very inspiring... this definitely shows that where there’s a will there’s a way.
I loved them, the first time I saw them
Yes! In all aspects of life. Amen!
I love how you guys interject your little intimacy play moments into Cole’s routines. The love really shows. Cole and Charisma you guys have come long, happy way. I pray God’s continued blessing upon you two.
What a blessed couple, be safe
I just discovered you two wonderful people. "Stay positive " is just what I needed and WOW! You guys are experts❤. Thank you for sharing so much of yourselves, that is such a gift and is helping so many others!!
It is getting better and better isn't it? It allows Charisma to do her thing and you have independence. Wonderful 😊
This one so hilarious! Cole is so serious with his night routine and here comes Charisma with that goofy face mask that is so funny. I love you guys😍
You guys inspired us to open a non emergency medical transportation service 🥰
That’s so amazing!!!
We take so much for granted. Cole is doing a great job with his transfers. I like that he doesn’t want be dependent on charisma! Way to go.
It's uplifting seeing how your teamwork assisted Cole in becoming more independent, mindful of Charismas' well being and your future once the babies arrive.
Very uplifting!
As a practicing OT this is SO helpful! It’s hard for me sometimes to envision all of our interventions in a home setting.
This brings back so many memories when I had to learn how to transfer. You are amazing Cole, new subscriber.
OMG! I feel very emotional right now, Charissa is a strong woman, Cole you are living strong too. God bless you both. I pray for Babies to increase you both. Thanking God for everything. Much Love

I am old enough to be your parents though my kids are much younger. I have adopted you two in my heart since I discovered you a few months ago and really pray for good for you. I see my husband and myself in you guys(same interacial combo eventhough non of us is disabled) and brings me so much joy to see how you care for each other.
I LOVE y'all
I love you guys. Proud of you Cole! Glad everything is accessible and better for you, and the house Cole.
Gone Cole with your "bad self." Soooooo proud of you!!!! Much love.
Water 💦 is good for everyone, I read about drinking water and how healthy it is for night time, it helps with heart attack prevention a lot of good things found with water 💦 and drinking at night 🤗
Drink a glass when you wake up as well!
@@majesticbeds yes 👍 I will, thank you 😊
I am very proud of you Cole. It is important that you do as much as you can by yourself. Thank you Charisma for encouraging his independence. My husband had a spinal cord injury about 4 years ago. We are both learning. I am proud of both of you.❤
Cole is going to be so muscular and charisma is going to stay healthy! Great job working together!! Sophie is just so inspired by the two of you!! 😂
We all are inspired too
I’m an OT and that licking to take socks off is going to be life changing for my patients! Thank you!!
I take my hat off to Cole! For doing his whole night routine by himself!
I admire you both so much. What a blessing it is to love and be loved in return. You're an awesome woman, Charisma!
Starting prenatals is so exciting, Charisma! I remember when I started a couple years ago before we got pregnant. :)
I loved seeing the "normal" stuff like tooth brushing and letting the dog out.
Thank you both for always for being so transparent.
its great to see Cole get more independent and determined to do things himself
Love watching cole'e growth how independent he has become. I pray for cole to continue getting stronger every day, motivating those with the same disability and even us to never give up. May God continue to bless you all. Charisma you are a true blessing and God knew exactly what he was doing when he placed Cole in the center you work at.
Hi Cole&Charisma, I have a suggestion.
Cole said,”my handy dandy metal reacher can be kind of rough on my hand if I use it for awhile.”
I was thinking if you could cover it with something it won’t be rough on your hand.
For example if you go to a gym all equipments are made of metal but somehow they cover some area of them in order to be used for hrs without getting hurt.( places which your legs, feet ,hands or even whole your body in contact ).
Maybe glueing a bit of rubber on the inside would help
Fantastic! Married life really suits you two. You're growing in ways that have to make Cole's mom in particular, and dad, etc., SO proud and relieved -- for both of you in different ways. Only they know. I'd love to hear what they think about this video, or your progress independently, yet interdependently. Hope that made sense.
