I have hormonal breakouts and my skin gets really angry. I’ve finally perfected my skincare routine after years of trial and error. I use cetaphil oily skin cleanser, niacinimide from The Ordinary and the Clinique Moisture Surge moisuriser. All very good for sensitive skin and calm down my angry breakouts. Also use dots for spots on any spots I’ve squeezed and they work wonders!!
I feel I have to comment - the granite in the kitchen is amazing. I know we’ve seen it before but close up with the Bialetti on the hob, it looks as though you’re cooking in a cave. Secondly , if I have spots I conceal them with Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage which seems to clear up the spots - highly recommended. We have a posh Spar too here in Devon.

Here I was treating acne for 5 years, because I got these symptoms a month after stopping the birth control pill. Anyway I’m three months going on topical metronidazole and la roche posay cleanser. What a difference.

Also, I would assume you only work with brands you generally like. Edit: I just checked the Haekles moisturizer and that stuff has sooo many essential oils. Maybe try a non-fragranced product? You could also try a retinol (which works against spots too, not just anti-aging :). I like the CeraVe Renewing retinol serum, it's pretty gentle, I think it's just 0,1 Percent. Also quite a bit cheaper.
@@LizzyHadfield They're not bad in your candle when you inhale them but they are (from how I understand it) volatile chemical compounds that can be irritating for skin and can acually lead to premature skin aging as they impair skin's ability to heal. They're called Linalool, Limonene, Eugenol etc. Unfortunately, especially expensive brands still like their creams and potions to smell expensive but fragrance isn't skincare. And if you have to have a scent in your skincare it's better to go with synthetic fragrance (that's just "fragrance" or "perfume" on the label) as it's less volaile than essential oils. Sorry for the lecture ;)

Hi Lizzy, lovely vlog as usual! Have you ever tried Bluem's Finger Lime Serum? Its a small Australian sustainable brand. As someone who suffered with unhappy skin from my late teens to early thirties this completely changed things for me. I used to suffer with monthly cystic acne and dreaded looking in the mirror in the morning to see what my skin would be doing... I think I've only had three or four spots in the past two years since using this. Unfortunately you have to pay import tax (I am in Europe) when you order it, but it is so so worth it, at least for me! Just wanted to share.

Just use Dove bar soap. I use it everyday and nothing has been ever so wrong with my skin. Too much things to try, too much for our skin to react again and again. Dove soap, the blue box classic one and Estée Lauder Night Repair. 🎉🎉🎉

Lots of them are yes! So i will repurchase any favourites/go back to old favourites a lot!
