Love the wrapper. My cousin bales with a new this season f5500 and I chase him round with the wrapper. hi we do a lot of bale and we stack both ways, dry stuff is great on end and wet stuff falls over on end .we all so stack bale 5 high but if you read the book you should only stuck 3 high and conventionally but no body reads the book 😂 .. Good job lads keep you the good work 👍
Stack on the ends....stops the crow's pecking them....we wrap all our rounds with 60 wraps. ...nice to see my future mattress looking good. ....lmao take care guys all the best Daz
Have you ever tried the wrap on wrap? Plastic wrap over net? Probably not overly needed when only handling once but bloody hell they make a good bale. Or even if you could move to wrap over net and then only put 6 layers of wrap on? I’d recommend it 100 percent
we don'y use a lot of round bales (anymore). Back in the day (we talk late 90's early 00's) we did some in autumn. Stacked ehm on the round side, but back then my dad did the work and he had to milk the cows, so it was faster. But we started very soon with big wrapped square bales, fitted our operation better. Nowadays we do about 500 big squares (160x120x70cm) a year, the contractor loads and stacks ehm. But as they also do round bales they use a balegrap that goes over the top of the bale. If we have (mid)May hay i have the idea that grap isn't the best for the bale and the bales get a bit unstable, it might be the drymatter in the bale. Personally I prefer the side grap (like Andy, it's a farming life uses) we have on an old forklift mast (the up and down thingy ;) ) on the back of our tractor. Also I can get 2 at the time if the hay is dry. We usually stack ehm 5 high, but 3high on the bottom and then 2high on 4stacks of 3 (pyramide style sort of). Also, im always surprised by the strength of plastic wrap. We try to avoid sharp stones on the ground as much as possible, but sometimes you miss one. In most cases it doesn't penetrate the wrap, even on the less dense wrapped parts of a bale. Or when you slide em over a little on concrete. Too bad you have so much plastic you have to pay for to get rid of (and it doesn't even get recycled over here).. Anyway, nice set up you got there I can see how that works perfectly for you! Keep the video's coming, Cheers from the Netherlands, Casper
I prefer to stack on end's, because they keep their shape. When you have to roll them into the clients barn by hand it makes life so much easier. When I stacked them on their rounds in the past where they sqush they left water in, the bales would be damp on the bottom.
Top tips on catching wrap under belt 👌, only got to be quick or Atlantic wind takes it here working on the Lizard, Great video with a lot of information still calculating number of wraps lol ,why not say how many bales per roll of wrap covers . Did 16 acres in 55mins average 13 mph with enrossi batrake,,
we have had a 998 high speed in demo, very useful. only when its hot outside, the plastic gets a little soft. that in combination with the high speed caused the problem that folie always let loose.
xavi cobbenski only problem we had was the time of the bale exiting the wrapper. We tend to use volac wrap and don’t have a problem on that even on hot days
How many bales will a roll of wrap do before it runs out. Is there a control in the loader that you hit a button on and it starts wrapping or is it automatic start by itself
McHale take some beating. My parents used to run a fake 1 (connor). Think u may have seen me mates hs2000. She can have issues (usually when not on power beyond) but great machine
I am going to ask a stupid question, why are you wrapping hay? Is it haylage for horses? In my experience round bales freshly made need to be left outside for about a week, after that they are safe to put into storage. Is there a risk of mould forming on bales that are damp before baling and wrapping. Sorry if you have answered this question before.
I always stack on the round side, much more stable I find as they sort of shape themselves into the other bales so wont go anywhere, can you please show us setting the overlap please. Where did you get the foam mattress too? Great video👍
I put bales on a static Mchale for my grandas mate and his is a laser pointer and last year doing it and the sun was looking at the contrôler and has to keep going up to the wrapper to set it off

@@thehayteamtv6830 I think from memory we tried to individually wrap them but they were to heavy for soft hands to pick up. Pretty sure they just got left
