@@gymnasticslover5064 i love aliya but vika could of won in 2012 if she hadn't hit her feet on the low bar and stuck her dismount like here. she's also 2 time world champion of UB but both are incredible 😍
@@gymnasticslover5064 i mean thats just as good, aliya was at many worlds and hasn't been a bars world champion and also vika could've won without hitting the bar and she wasn't in rio but she definitely could've won there.
She has bent knees on every giant that she does on the high bar, which results in several built-in deductions, although in nearly everything else her form is absolutely perfect. Her shape in the layout jaeger is a little questionable but I don't think they downgraded it in these olympics. It was downgraded to piked when she tried to do it in 2015 world championships.
And as scientificmusician said, she has bent knees on every single giant circle and she did it many times. The last 1/2 handstand pirouette before the dismount was also a little bit late.
Pako Paez Douglas actually does have better form. She does have lines and style on bars as well. Every element she does is with maximum amplitude, so already she avoids some deductions that nearly every other gymnast gets on release skills.

LB7 Not exactly. The dismount was definitely the best, but the inbar stalder 1/1 had a QUITE late pirouette and she got easily a 0.5 deduction for that error.
Amazing dismount and stunning legs throughout (aside from the giant swings...), but the routine definitely wasn't underscored. She has a LOT of bent arms here and the pirouettes weren't great.
You saw the same. Didn’t want to say anything because as soon as one does the Komova fans start getting butt hurt. I do think her bars got better in future competitions.
@@prcelani Mustafina was better. She had more connections, hit her handstands cold and had in general a much clearer set throughout the games. I do feel that Komova had a definite shot of beating Aliya by 2016 though as she’d built a more connected routine. Komova was great, but there were others just as good.
Broke my heart that Komova's career was cut short by illness and injury. She had the most adorable body in the History of Female Gymnastics and I am a American. When she was healthy I believe she would have been unbearable. I believe in my heart she had something nagging her in the 2012 Olympics and it hurt her confidence. Am sure she didn't want to have a excuse for getting the Silver in the All Rounds. Gabbie was just a tiny bit better in most of the events and it had everything to do with her landings. I thought a couple of times Komova got lower scores than she deserved. Her floor exercise was stupendous and I believe it was as close as she could get to a perfect score.

Does no one else love how long it takes her to start twisting and then she twists so fast this is definitely the most beautiful double double ever
She almost does both twists in the second salto!
Ross Palmer one of the most beautiful bar routines ever performed
I guess because she's so used to perform the double back full out, so she use the same technique with the fabrichnova. I agree it's beautiful
Her bars were amazing, so fluid. I was heartbroken when it didn’t work out for her in the bars final.
I keep rewatching Komova's videos over and over again...
that dismount was sO HIGH. amazing.

incredible dismount!

Pako Paez Komova definitely DIDN'T deserve a 9.2 execution score for this performance with a large error on inbar stalder 1/1.
