anytime i heard this theme on sundays,
i knew right then in there that house choirs
wasn't gonna get done, not by a long shot.
i miss that era of great intro themes

Who remembers The Late Show on WCBS 2 New York at around 2:00 a.m. when you see Serpico with Al Pacino from 1973?

I remember seeing my first full length dramatic movie in the 1960s in my old hometown of NYC with the theme music from The Syncopated Clock by LeRoy Anderson showing the lights in apartment buildings going out and a full moon to the left of the screen and the movie started after the midnight edition of the news segment ended at 12.00 AM. The movie was Back from Eternity of 1956 by RKO Radio Pictures and starred Anita Eckberg and Rod Steiger. The blonde college girl near the beginning of the movie who had a camera captured my attention. I later found out it was Barbara Eden in her movie debut without being credited. At that time when it then was put on TV she was not that well known The Late Show was on WCBS TV ch.2 New York. 😊

Station Owners: "All right, guys. There is just no way we can actually make these movies memorable, so we put a lot of effort into these intros. The bumpers and outros aren't bad either, so stick around."
