Homemade Sliding Gate Remote Controlled (Part 1) Συρόμενη Αυλόπορτα με τηλεχειριζόμενο μηχανισμό

Hello everyone, welcome back to my channel! Today, I'm excited to take you through my journey as amateur in welding and showcase the creation of a fantastic automatic gate complete with a remote-controlled mechanism.
Welding has been an incredible learning experience for me, and I can't wait to share the process of bringing this project to life. From the initial concept to overcoming challenges as a welding novice, it's been a rewarding adventure.
The focal point of this project is the automatic gate, which adds both convenience and a touch of technology to my space. The remote-controlled mechanism enhances security and provides an impressive feature for my property.

Materials i used for this project:
Steel Tubes Square - 40 mm.
PVC Fencing Boards.
Gate latch.
wheels.
Welding rods.
I measured the opening where i wanted to install the gate.
For my designigs i always use SketchUp.
SketchUp is a easy 3D modeling software used in architecture, interior design, and related fields.
The software offers a user-friendly interface, allowing both beginners and professionals to create 3D models quickly and easily.
I cuted the Steel Tubes to needed size. I used 40 mm x 2 mm for the frame.
I welded the frame with my cheep electric welder and also i welded the wheels.
Electric welding is a skill that can be learned with practice. If you are not familiar with electric welding, I recommend taking a class or watching some videos online.
please be careful in the following
Always wear safety glasses and gloves.
Make sure you are working in a well-ventilated area.
Do not touch the hot metal with your bare hands.
Be careful not to get sparks in your eyes.
I assembled after cutting the PVC fencing boards to the different sizes required. I used stainless steel shelf wagon screw 30x6 mm.
I recommend using PVC fencing Boards for similiar projects because they have very good properties.
Water Resistance: PVC fencing is highly resistant to water, making it suitable for areas exposed to moisture or rain.
Low Maintenance: PVC fencing boards require minimal maintenance.
Longevity: PVC boards are known for their durability and resistance to fading, warping, or splintering.
After I was done with the electrowelding, I rubbed the welds with an angle wheel and I placed the gate in its place on the fence.
Building a gate is a great way to add security and privacy to your property. With a little planning and effort, you can build a gate that will last for years.
