@MagicZack24 Its from Daniel madison. He taught this trick -named 'Bad influence'- on the dvd: (Madness) dangerous mystique V1. It uses exactly the same principe but only his version is a in-the-hand-version and this is a table version. Thanks for the question, if you have more, just ask me, I'd like to help others ;)

I would either casually tilt the card upward just enough to get a peek (like if you're playing poker), or tell the spectator that you're going to put the cards into an empty card box so nobody can touch them. When you put the card in you can just look at it, plain and simple. It doesn't look suspicious at all.

I see what you're saying now. You're right, that would work well. I use this method mainly because because it's impromptu. It's a good spur of the moment trick and since it requires no sleights, it can easily be performed with a borrowed deck that looks like it's been through a nuclear war.

IIIIII Got a little idea while watching this!!.. If you see the bottom card, and then change it for the top one, or see the top one with any technike (there are some) you have more chances of the espectator picking the card you know (cause it's in the top of the mess), making it more incredible! (Im from Argentina, my english is not very good, sorry :P)

Yeah this really wouldn't work with a marked deck, since the spectator gets to choose the cards.

@MagicZack24 well actually maybe it's easier to glimpse the cards they choose for the next card you're asking them to pick then you don't have to look at the card they choose..

@MagicZack24 I mean, with a marked deck you can see which card it is without looking at the face of the card itself.

@MagicZack24 how can you 'casually glimpse' at the cards without the spectators seeing you do it? if they see you look then its kinda game over innit

Awesome performance and explanation. But it is a variation of a trick from daniel madison i believe. Good variation though. :)

this is not daniel madisons either. this trick has been around for hundreds of years and it relies on the 'one ahead' principle.
