There was a lot of brouhaha in the 90s about these so-called "growing toys" not growing as advertised, because the manufacturers of these things had been misleading kids for decades by using the water weight (the factor with the most increase in volume) as the metric that they advertised without actually stating such on the packaging (like how you'll see products advertised today with "no high fructose corn syrup," while the primary ingredient is still just "regular" corn syrup -- probably having just as much or more fructose as a little bit of the concentrate).
It seems like Trendmasters had to quickly update their packaging to avoid possible lawsuits, or to comply with a new statute put in place because of such a lawsuit.

I had this and the weird spring-pop-up toy. I can still feel the weird sliminess it had after soaking it. I never even knew it would shrink if you left it to dry. I just threw mine away after being disappointed 😂

I recently got a few of these for pretty cheap, I had an extra NY set so I gave it to my 4-year-old cousin, who's already a huge Godzilla fan. (it's really adorable how much she loves it XD) Hers works scarily well, taking only about a day to reach full size. Maybe it was just better preserved than yours, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Thanks for the video, Monster Island Buddies! I had no idea that Trendmasters released this type of Godzilla figure. I'm surprised that toy still even works. Also, despite this toy's lackluster nature, at least you were able to make an entertaining video out of it.
By the way, I saw Wikizilla's Lost and Unreleased Kaiju Media video, and I think I might have something you would be interested in. On Tumblr (under the name zatholord), I reblogged Astounding Beyond Belief's post on the video and I showed a possible place as to where you can still possibly (that being the key word here) get a playable version of the 2009 mobile game Godzilla: Monster Mayhem (the fighting game version that has Godzilla and King Ghidorah as playable characters). The website I linked to has a QR code for you to scan. Please keep in mind that this game was made for 2.2 iOS Apple products so you're going have to get some old devices for this to possibly work, and that I'm not a technical person so if you problems in that area I sadly can't help you. Also, my reblog contains information on some other lost pieces of lost Godzilla media that can no longer be truly accessed that you can possibly use for a video on lost Godzilla media that isn't available anymore.
