Thank you. I followed the full playlist. Its crisp and clear. Helped a lot. Passed with 912/1000. Additionally done the Microsoft learning path and Skillcertpro practice tests. these tests mimic the real exam. Surprisingly nearly 80% of the questions were from these sets in main exam. I would definitely recommend them if you're aiming for cert.
Microsoft learn has sufficient information on Power BI. So I used past exam questions to study. I also used Pragmatic Works because they offer explanations to the responses they give, which helps a lot.
@@Hareesh-w3q I found it friendly because I had gone over numerous sample questions. Also, the Pragmatic Works approach is helpful because it doesn’t just answer the questions, but also gives explanations until concepts which is very important. Thanks.
Great video! I have my PL-300 and one thing that eluded me from the descriptions in preparation. IMO…the test does not have you, at all, actually demonstrate skills in PBI Desktop or PBI Service. You don’t ETL, model, write DAX, set roles, publish, manage workspaces, permissions or gateways, no scheduling, no apps. Honestly it’s probably good though. You have to know PBI so well that you could do it with someone whispering scenarios to you whilst you draw what the buttons look like in the program with you your non-dominant foot lol Useful certificate, but heavy theory, no practical. it would be a joke if i wasnt so happy that i have mine 😂
Your videos are great.I passed PL-300 but it requires real understanding of many concepts so I had to also refer to Microsoft Website as well as many other UA-cam videos from PowerBI Experts.
Just passed the exam today barely 710/700, Yahooo!!, gosh I was really afraid cause some of the questions were really confusing, to ya'll whose searching for tips in the comment section, I just studied for 4 days, Here's what I did 1) Watch all the pragmatic works videos on PL-300, some practice questions provided in the youtube videos came out in the exam. 2) I can proudly say that there is not a single Microsoft Practice Exam Questions in the real exam, that's a real bummer, cause I kept practicing many times to a point that I even memorized the answer, felt like I'm a pro. SO DON'T FOCUS TOO MUCH ON THE Microsoft practice EXAMS. 3) Do some online practice exams provided from Exam Topics. 4) I heard Udemy is good too, however, I did not purchase em, just fully utilized all the available online stuff, Thanks Pragmatic Works and Angelica Dominic for your effort, Love from Malaysia!
That you’re putting this up for free is so amazing. Thank you. I’m liking every video adn have subscribed but outside of that I’m not sure how much more I can support!
Thanks for share this valuable information. I'm starting to prep just right to take the exam after i Get ready with all your tutorials! Thank you So Much!!
15:39 I thought this test wasn't open book, I was told that there could be accommodations but not open book. Is this option only available after completing the exam?
Hi John! Thanks for watching! Each video I release is going to include sample questions designed to mimic the ones given on the PL-300 exam followed up with a demonstration in the Power BI Desktop.
Great video, great explanations, but there is one piece of information missing: HOW LONG does it take for one to prepare for the PL-300? (On average, at least).
Thank you for the feedback! That is a great question. The time it takes to prepare for the PL-300 exam will vary significantly depending on the individual. Some can independently review the PL-300 preparation content available on Microsoft Learn and pass their first attempt, while some may benefit from the guidance provided by attending a teacher-led training. In my experience, I have heard of beginners who are brand new to Power BI passing with as little as a few months of preparation, and others requiring up to a year of learning and practice. These are just general estimates and the amount of time needed can vary based on learning styles, prior knowledge, and resources. Make a study plan that suits your schedule and allow yourself time to take a couple practice exams before scheduling the PL-300 exam. Happy Studying!
Thank you for the reply, @@AngelicaDomenech . I have 2+ years working professionally with Power BI on a daily basis. I was thinking of taking 2 weeks off, putting in some 40h of study and then sit for the test. Realistic? Or I'm dreaming?

Congratulations on your cert, Do
you have any previous experience as Data Analyst or you did any other paid course to get the cert
I have the same question as inspire, could you answer please?
Mind sharing the skillcertpro practice tests?
I passed my exam yesterday and I wanted to come back and say thank you for this series of videos. I got 896/1000
Hey congratulations on your certification. How hard was it?
congratulations! Can we get some tips, what to concentrate on for the exam?

you can open Microsoft Learn during exam. No cap
@@chandets_dra did you do it?
@@chandets_dra it's clearly stated on the PL300 page that the exam is not open book. Is there an option during the exam to open microsoft learn ?
nvm there's a microsoft learn button during the exam

hi, one quick question: Do I have to pay for each retake attempt?
Yes, fees apply for each retake attempt.

Power bi service scares me as there are so many topics that make tricky questions like incremental refresh, static dynamic Rls etc.
Thank you!
I think power BI should go to DP exam instead of PL exam.
Got PL-300 and PL-500 but need to revise to renew the cert online. Every year..😅
Is there any negative marking?
Super
