I prefer Gran Turismo over other driver simulators because of its history and its impact on the racing genre. It's even part of why I prefer PlayStation over Xbox. In fact, this very episode of Icons is what got me into this great racing series. There are some other fun racing game series I like to play such as Top Gear (not to be confused with that TV show), Cruis'n, Ridge Racer, Need for Speed, and SEGA's Daytona USA, but Gran Turismo is a product of perfection.
And people say Sony copy Microsoft froza series Bullshit Microsoft copy Gran Turismo to make froza series and still Gran Turismo sport looks more realistic than froza 7 by far

Thank You. I've been wanting to see this episode of Icons again for a few years now since I last saw it air on tv. I almost lost hope thinking it was lost to time since virtually no one had it prior for quite some time. With this and the 360 episode the Icons archive is now finally complete.
It's a good series, the first 4 seasons anyway. After season 4 the show steered away from gaming and I guess tried to reach a more generic audience, same with G4 as a whole.
So much nostalgia!!! One one hand it's makes me think of the first time I played Gran Turismo 2. Then there is the second remembering watching this on G4
finally an actual history video on gran turismo that isn't just gameplay.
