I used to hoard videogame, computer and other media related to digital culture so I created this channel mostly to share it if it's not elsewhere on the youtubes.
Retroarch on Linux with RPCS3 launcher (demo)
Yeah, I suck at Skate 3. Just a demo of a Retroarch RPCS3 launcher I worked on. Other Retroarch launchers are available for PCSX2, Yuzu, Cemu, Xemu, Xenia as well as RPCS3 at my github repo: github.com/new-penguin. I don't have a Steam Deck to test but they should also work on it.

Bigbox/Launchbox "Play The Game" Startup Video

Credit to boingboing for some of the clips, AVGN and of course Motorhead for the awesome song. I've played just enough Counter-Strike Source gungame that the intro is forever embedded in my head. The video's not great to warrant uploading on the official Launchbox site but I uploaded to Google Drive in case someone wanted to use it: drive.google.com/file/d/0BzQfgfKP36GDUS10Mk9aUjNpS0E/
Launchbox 7 Demo w/ Minimal-AO Theme

If it was 1985 again and you showed me this demo, I'd be amazed and jealous. But one thing's for sure, I spent more time setting this up than I'll probably ever play it (ain't nobody got time for all these games). I consider this an upgrade from Hyperspin, especially in ease of setup. No messing about with config and xml files, just drag/drop and it's all done for you. Media, at least images, a...
RetroArch Retro Memories Overlay
Переглядів 2,3 тис.8 років тому
Emulation isn't quite as nostalgic as the real system experience, partly because you're not bathing in the golden, heat-fueled light of a CRT TV. I've gotten a new obsession with emulation lately and since I didn't find any RetroArch TV overlays that I liked, I made my own. The experience isn't quite the same but with custom overlays, shaders and custom retro controllers, it's made good progres...
Retroarch demo with the PPSSPP emulation core and custom overlay
Переглядів 1,3 тис.8 років тому
Performance is actually pretty good on my 4.5ghz FX-6300 though using window mode for recording did lower the fps a bit which skewed the sound occasionally. There's shader options in retroarch and in the PPSSPP core itself to make the game look better though I didn't utilize any here. I couldn't find a PSP overlay for the original 1000 model so I made my own though it's only as good as my lacki...
Road Rage II - In Speed We Trust (2004) (excerpt)

Ah, the days of being a young man and you have more bravado than judgement, more money spent ricing your vehicle than saved for a rainy day and YOLO isn't just a meme on the internet, it's a lifestyle. This is an excerpt from a cheaply produced dollar bin DVD that I purchased back in the day when I used to ride. Just take note, don't be a squid (leather up) and don't use a highly trafficked roa...
Windows XP - Do Amazing Kraftwerk (SEIZURE WARNING! - Just in case, not sure. lol)

While transcoding a Windows XP - Do Amazing Things demo DVD (don't ask me, I archive the most esoteric media) that Microsoft mailed out in 2003 (I think that's when I got it) to select customers, I encountered some weird glitching. So what does one do these days when presented with seizure-inducing, esoteric technology-based media? Use the opportunity to overlay some form of electronic music an...

Nerd Nation on TechTV (2004) Season 1 Episode 1
'The future was so strange back then.'
track name at 36;45?
And here we are. Playstation has lost their way
"How do we make real games" Tell that to Sony and Microsoft in the 9th gen!!!!
I remember I found this in a flash game site, really nostalgic, loved this back then..
Happy 30th Anniversary PlayStation
I feel old
I also like the story of this system,I usually find NES units at Flea Markets, and repair them to get them in good working order, and one time I bought a damaged unit and took 3 Hours of work on it to get it running.I do have the fixing gene. And next year this consoles celebrates the 40th anniversary.
I can't tell if the editing in this series is horrible or amazing
Could you go into more detail please?
Is it me, or does the track guy (in the second half of the video) look like a more realistically proportioned Mario (and the girl kissing him at the end like Peach)?
BRAINZ!
can you make a video on how to set it up please!!!
I don't directly use RA anymore, I use EmulationStation on top of it which is setup a bit differently. But just download the launcher on the github page. Hopefully the instructions are clear enough there but if you still have any questions, feel free to ask.
I would have installed a slot drive and not released the core version.
One of the greatest consoles of all time.
"The ring of life" HAHA
Good old days…
This DVD made me who I am today🙏🏼
Icons always had superb music.
Thank you for uploading! Out of nothing I thought about this classic Flash animation.
Its a pity that Microsoft forgot about what makes Xbox special as a brand. Don't you dare tell me otherwise, when Halo and Gears of War are now mediocre and on critical life support!
Just wild that Nintendo and Sony could have been partners but instead Nintendo spurned them and ended up creating the competitor that would leave them in the dust over the ensuing two console generations.
The PS1 era was a beautiful time for gaming in so many ways. The last truly revolutionary console.
G4 was the shit! ❤
This was officially the last great episode of G4 Icons because the King Kong episode that came after this episode would change the format of this series completely and cause the original video games centric episodes in Icons to be rebranded as Game Makers
Thanks for saving these and uploading them!
Shout out to Drew Stone - dude is a legend - a lot of the Streetbike stuff would have never been seen if it wasn't for him.
I can't hear the song without thinking of the long jump in this. Thanks for sharing, i had forgotten it was a .swf file originally. Love the crunchy audio too :D
Where can I find the tracks to the video? I've searched for years.
Mario and Luigi buying an NES for themselves to play at home.
18:15 Snooping as usual I see.
the song is so perfect!
That's crazy so many ppl watched this growing up I'm glad I was one of em
What is the name of the theme playing at the 15:04 mark?
Shazam could recognize it I think
@@deltakid0, Shazam?
@@kevinramirez3134 it's an Android app that recognize songs
All the games on atari sucked. How many times could a normal person play pac man?The sports games sucked....compared to kung fu?, mfng metroid....rbi baseball, that's why nes was popular.....it doesn't take professors to figure this out
back when g4 wasnt just woke garbage
One the best generations of consoles was the Xbox 360 and PS3 gen
Still my favorite console !
always come back to watch this
Feel like PS2 and Xbox 360 were the pinnacles for Sony and Microsoft, respectively
All the classic bikeS❤
Damn I thought it was a lost media, couldn't find it anywhere. Thanks for the nostalgia!
Xbox 360>>>>>>>>>>One and Series X
gamepro The Goat way way better than IGN,Gamespot and Kotaku Turds
Too bad Nintendo’s Love Hotels didn’t make it to the States. 😂
nice to find this. lost my dvd. thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!
I still have this DVD!!
Annnnd then E.A and Disney happen😢
Lucas needs to come back to fix it, if he still alive.
@@LazyPirate8 ehhh. I doubt Lucas could "save it." Given he hasn't always taken the franchise in best direction.
Still have this on dvd such an inspirational video I got back in 2016 and I have a duplicate as a back up such a timeless classic
An absolute classic
To hell with Bill Gates and his console.
