If I'm really engaged in the series, I enjoy reading the novellas. My sister and I were just having this discussion a couple of months ago about reading in publication order when it comes to prequels. We both agree that not reading the prequel novellas before starting the series is best. We feel that reading them as we read a series enhances the reading experience. For me, it's like reading a flashback after getting to know the characters, like they do on TV. I tend to see things as moving pictures as I read. I think that, for me, being an audio/visual learner has its benefits. 📚🥰📖
I had a colonoscopy years ago and it was horrible in every way but I hope things have improved. I'm very glad they are running some tests though. Thank you for sharing this journey with us lovely.
Really pleased that you are getting somewhere with the gastro appointments. Bit disappointed in your review of Arthur and Teddy are coming out, I have this on Kindle to read - am expecting good things because it's pitched to Mike Gayle fans. We'll see what I think though. I loved Lost for Words, so think I'm due a reread and then follow it by Found in a Bookshop. Lovely chatty vlog as always, hopefully the heat over the weekend hasn't been getting to you too much x ❤
Thanks Jo, hopefully you enjoy it more! I think I was so excited thinking it was going to be a 5star! I'm going to pick up a Mike gayle on your recommendation 🥰
I am looking forward to reading the kamogawa detectives as well. YAY glitterland is one of my favourites of his for sure!! I really really hope you enjoy it too 🤗 Tender is the flesh is so great! I am glad you have it back on your shelf as well and also liked it. Oh yes, the changing man is one I am really looking forward to as well. Looks so perfectly creepy. Hope you find some good 'starter' horror. I won't recommend because my horror dial is turned all the way up 😝
When you were talking about the first book it did make me think of Before The Coffee Goes Cold. I have The Kiss Curse on my TBR after reading the first one witch I quite enjoyed . I am the same about blankets I think it is a comfort thing and often I can not really get into my book and read unless I have my blanket even on hot days 😂 I have put Lost For Words into my basket to pick up spoon . I loved the movie New Years eve . Sorry I comment as I watch so keep editing . Did you read A Summer Scandal by Kat French I am reading it at the moment but know I heard about it from someone on booktube and was sure it was you . I love Christmas books and make a least December the month to only read them .
I'm so glad you've finally got some gastro appointments lined up. I really appreciate you sharing the journey with us! Not sure if you've read it but Clown in a Cornfield is a fun horror 🤡 And yes to a haul video 😊
Thank you, I know sometimes hospitals etc can be scary and having been on the other side I hope to be able to take some of the unknowns away from it for people 🙂

That sounds like a great way to think about things :)
Every ending in HMRC just made me scream in horror haha, they're soooo good!
I HATE cliffhangers lol I'm just too impatient.
I loved The Shadow Cabinet and agree need book 3 but also so exited for the novellas
I’m excited for the novellas I just want them AFTER the trilogy 😂

Thank you! My last one was about 11 years ago and was horrendous so I'm hoping this isn't as bad

‘Let’s just stop talking about kidneys’ 🤣🤣 that news about her novella must be so frustrating though!!!
It is because GAH I need to know how it ends before I read a prequel
