So I presume the "radio bs" sells many more downloads/streams these days than jazz. You may like it or hate it, but it is a thing. Some OTHER grammys (like best liner notes etc) are given for actual excellence / research etc. So once you see people getting awards at the grammys, realize it's mainly for how POPULAR their music is in terms of SALES, not putative excellence or lack thereof.

Why can you hear its Domi when the song is a 40's jazz standard played by most music school jazz students who like to embellish it a bit. Domi is good but she is only recycling through Oscar Petersen, Charlie Parker or Horace Silvers styles.

I watched how his left hand fingered the melody on the guitar neck, and in that way, I "learned" how to play it, from Joe Pass ! 🤩😁
As a musician I can truly say you are amazing and have a great future as jazz pianist. If you can sing I would urge you to try writing songs study the way poets and songwriters manipulate lyrics and try writing stuff I reckon on average I have to write at least ten songs before I get a good one out so don't be disheartened first. You are doing great you have a great future ahead of you.
