Dude at least deserves a discount off his stay. He potentially saved the owner an expensive service call/maintenance bill. As easy of a fix as that was Not everyone has the knowledge or willingness to voluntarily fix it.
That's general maintenance. You don't need to be an A/C tech to have the most basic knowledge to change a filter. It amazes me how many people lack the most basic of knowledge, though.

Charge back a maintinence fee, they love to add cleaning fees, hit em with the uno reverse card
$20 for a weeks cool air, maybe.
I might as well take the filter with me when I leave if it's a common enough size to get at Walmart

I don't generally work on them but I always look at them especially when it's a split system I enjoy going "who did this shit" to other peoples work
😂😂😂
Just take the filter out til you leave
Putting in an ac filter doesn’t make you a tech 😂
With this heat, i wouldve changed it because i wouldnt want to be hot and miserable inside relaxing but i would expect a discount.
i would have took out he old filter then put it back when i leave
I would ask for a refund and do a charge back on my card

Could have just cleaned it.
Worth every penny 😂
