2025 Annual Parade of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department
This morning, 24 January 2025, the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) kicked off its much-anticipated Majlis Perbarisan Tahunan at the JBPM Headquarters in Putrajaya. The event, officiated by YAS Dato' Ts. Nor Hisham bin Mohammad, marked his one-year milestone as the department's Director-General since taking on the role on 8 January 2024.
As always, this annual gathering brought together JBPM’s top brass, including state and division directors, the commandants of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Academy, airbase commanders, senior officers, staff, and personnel from across the country. External agencies and departments were also invited, along with Bomba Komuniti and Pasukan Bomba Sukarela, making the event even more inclusive and meaningful.
In his speech, Dato' Ts. Nor Hisham took a moment to thank everyone for their unwavering support and to highlight some of JBPM’s stellar achievements in 2024. Among them:
A noticeable rise in fire hazard elimination inspections (MBK).
A reduction in drowning cases and fatalities.
The rebranding and upgrade of the National Fire Operations Centre (PGOK), previously known as the Operations Management Centre (PPO). PGOK is now the heart of JBPM's communications operations.
