Thanks for the video. My henna didn’t turn red as much over night but I did mix it with coffee. The directions you sent me explain everything everyone is asking in the comments. Everyone needs to just slow down and read the directions. Currently waiting with henna on my head. Next up will be the indigo powder.
@@TheHennaGuys is it nesecary to use the both steps ..l have just thr brown henna for now ..can l use that ..does it work on colour? I have natural dark brown hair .
When dark brown its a bit tricky to get your greys covered. Since dark brown contains Indigo powder, pure henna acts as a base to help Indigo powder work its best:) For more information please contact us via email sales@thehennaguys.com
@@RegentofArrako Mix the henna, let it sit in bowl covered for 8-10 hours., Use a clarifying shampoo (with sulphates) to remove the oils from your hair/beard. Apply the henna for 2-3 hours. Wash out with water only. Mix the indigo, let it sit in bowl for 30 minutes covered (you could actually do this whilst you still had the henna developing in your hair if you want to be a productivity guru) and then apply for 2-3 hours. Wash out with water. The henna will have dyed your greys a red colour. The indigo will then stick to the henna-d hair better than if you hadn't done the henna or if you'd put the henna&indigo on together in a one step process. Don't shampoo your hair for at least 24 hours to allow the colour to develop. 36 hours is best, 48 is too long.
I have another question. So I used this henna this weekend. If I decide to do it again, do I have to wait a month. And can I use the dark brown only on my grays mixed with Indigo powder, instead of the pure henna?
You may do an application back to back:) Its that safe. The only reason we ask to wait 72 hours is for the color to develop to see if the color is perfect for you. As doing another application will darken the hair.
Hello Henna Guys! I started using these products in March 2019, I love it. I’m 54 and have lots of gray hair and want to cover roots. I started using pure henna and turned really orange, not red. Then tried the medium brown but didn’t lasted long. So, I just bought the Dark Brown packet and reading all comments here found out the correct procedure since I was confused too! So, I have mid-back hair length and my question is if I have to make the whole packet of each and apply it to all my hair or just the roots? I mean I definitely want to have an even color on all my hair length. Thanks for your reply!
Hi Judith! We are so glad to experience this journey for healthier hair!! If you are applying to only your roots, you will not need the whole pack each time. 1/4 of pack (again depending on how much gray you have) will get you the coverage:)
I'm a little confused. Do you apply BOTH of these mixtures to your hair to achieve the dark brown color? First the Pure henna (let sit, then rinse until water runs clear) and THEN the dark brown mixture (let sit, then rinse until water runs clear) after you have let the pure hena sit and be rinsed out?
@@TheHennaGuys very helpful! Follow up question: is it okay for the pure henna to be left out for longer than 10 hours before being applied? I’ve set aside free time but am curious if it would be okay to leave out over night and be applied the next day (e.i., longer than the recommended 8-10 hours)
glad i came here bc as a beginner the instructions were confusing! lol. I think most of my questions were answered. I don't think the instructions say this is a two-step process, so I needed confirmation from the comments.
We are very sorry for any confusion that the instructions may have caused. We are currently updating the instructions to be a little bit more clarifying. -Hilary
Yes. I only used one packet. The pure henna. I was so confused and I felt that I just wasted my money because I did not get the result That I want. I thought it’s an either one not a two step process. When do you apply the dark brown henna? When you hair is dry? Like the ff day? That would help so much so we can fit this in our schedule.
Why do some colors like the dark brown henna color come in a 2 step process (the henna and then color) whereas the medium brown color only comes with 1 step process (the color)?
Hi Alejandra! Indigo powder is hard to get coverage especially on stubborn grey hair. Our dark brown and jet black has the most indigo powder in them. That is why those are recommended to apply it with the 2- step method. Hope this helps.
