this guy was never a complete quad . his spine was just probably in the shock state which happens after spinal accidents, it was just bruised of pressed for a few seconds . so there was no permanent damage, only the spinal shock which can make u quadruplegic for 4-6 weeks, but after the spine recovers from the shock and you have no other spinal injury then you are fully recovered . i know what I'am talking about, i made almost a full recovery, except legs are slow and lazy .

My son is a quad from a surfing accident 11 years ago. He is diagnosted a C4/C5 complete injury and can feel or move nothing below his shoulders. Were you considered a "complete" injury? This makes a HUGE difference regarding recovery via therapy. He is looking forward to seeing more progress using stem cells for his sort of injury.

These quadriplegic videos that want people to believe you can get over a spinal cord injury irk me because I too am a C4 Incomplete and was walking. That doesn't mean life is all hunk dory now. Even when I was walking, I had issues with autonomic dysreflexia and other spinal cord injury issues. I got so cocky, I didn't even think I had a spinal cord injury because 'hey, I was all better'. I neglected my injury and thought I was now a miracle or everything was all better...UNTIL Osteomyelitis worked its way into my spine and left me a Complete injury...paralyzed. Wake up people, no one is 'recovered' from spinal cord injury.
